The Seiko Prospex SPB511 is a 60th-anniversary limited edition of the 1965 Heritage Diver’s Watch, distinguished by a silver patterned dial and gray unidirectional bezel. Seiko specifies a 40 mm case, automatic 6R55 movement with approximately 72 hours of power reserve, and 300 m water resistance; its US product page lists a price of $1,400.
Seiko announced a worldwide production run of 6,000 pieces, with availability at its boutiques and select retailers planned from June 2025. That launch plan does not confirm current stock. The SPB511’s strongest distinction is its anniversary design and edition status, rather than a claim of a radically new watch platform.

Design and anniversary context
Seiko’s March 2025 announcement places the SPB511 among three Prospex creations marking 60 years since the company’s first diver’s watch in 1965. Seiko says the silver-dialed model pays homage to that original watch. The company identifies the original as the model known to fans as the 62MAS and describes it as an automatic mechanical watch with 150 m water resistance.
The SPB511’s silver patterned dial is inspired by Seiko’s wave mark, which the company associates with the casebacks of its diver watches. Seiko says LumiBrite is applied to the hands and all 12 markers. The gray elapsed-time bezel rotates unidirectionally. The case back carries a limited-edition serial number, according to Seiko’s product information.

Movement and performance specifications
The automatic caliber 6R55 also supports manual winding and has 24 jewels. Seiko specifies a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and an approximately 72-hour power reserve. These are manufacturer specifications, not the result of an independent timing or power-reserve test.
Seiko specifies 300 m water resistance and describes the model as suitable for scuba diving. That rating is a published product specification; it does not establish the pressure-test condition of an individual watch. No independent pressure test or hands-on dive evaluation was established in the research for this article.
What the clasp adjustment offers
Seiko describes an updated slide-adjustment clasp with a 15 mm adjustment range divided into six 2.5 mm increments. The design gives the wearer several adjustment positions without changing bracelet links. The stated range describes the clasp feature; it does not establish that the bracelet will fit every wrist or suit every use.
