The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche is a 42 mm automatic chronograph offered in two documented versions: steel reference CBS2011.FC6529 and 18K 5N rose-gold reference CBS2040.FC8318. Both use TAG Heuer’s TH20-08 movement, with an 80-hour power reserve and 100 m water resistance. TAG Heuer’s design story links the movement’s chronosprint concept to the Porsche 901’s stated 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 9.1 seconds; that is the brand’s inspiration, not a performance test of the watch. The official materials document the collaboration and product specifications, but do not establish when these references first launched.
What is the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche?
TAG Heuer frames the collaboration as a tribute to the 60th anniversaries of the Carrera and Porsche 911. The watch’s defining idea is the TH20-08 chronosprint movement: TAG Heuer says it mirrors the original Porsche 911, known as the Porsche 901, and its 9.1-second 0–100 km/h acceleration. The figure belongs to the car in TAG Heuer’s account; it is not an independently verified watch measurement. TAG Heuer’s collection page describes the movement as designed to measure short time intervals, while the brand’s official English brochure uses the headline “TAG HEUER AND PORSCHE UNLEASH A NEW TIME-TAMER.”

What the shared TH20-08 specification means
Both versions are automatic chronographs, so the same core specification applies regardless of case material. TAG Heuer lists an 80-hour power reserve, a 4 Hz operating frequency and 100 m water resistance for each reference. The chronograph is specified with 1/4-second, 30-minute and 12-hour counters. These are manufacturer-listed specifications; the available materials do not provide independent testing of accuracy, water resistance or elapsed-time performance.

- Choose the steel reference if you prefer a silver-and-black combination and a steel case. It is the lower-priced of the two on the cited US listings.
- Choose the rose-gold reference if you want an 18K 5N rose-gold case and crown, beige dial and brown 911-logo-embossed calfskin strap.
On the documented specifications, the premium buys a different case material and styling rather than a different movement or stated water-resistance rating. The cited pages do not establish launch timing, current stock or independent hands-on results.
