The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf White Dial is a 971-piece limited edition that pairs Monaco’s square chronograph case with Gulf’s blue-and-orange racing stripes. Reference CAW218G.EB0393 was reported available from May 2025; its defining combination is a sandblasted Grade 2 titanium case, silver-white dial and automatic Calibre 11.
What makes this Monaco distinctive?
The watch builds on the classic Monaco “Steve McQueen” edition, including the crown at 9 o’clock, but changes the familiar blue-dial look for a fine-grained silver-white dial. Blue and orange stripes cross the dial, while black opaline chronograph counters at 3 and 9 provide contrast. A black vintage HEUER logo, rhodium-plated indices and hands, blue Super-LumiNova on the hour and minute hands, an orange lacquered central chronograph hand and an angled date window at 6 complete the layout.
The Gulf colors connect the design to racing imagery associated with Steve McQueen’s 1971 film Le Mans. Monochrome Watches reports that the 971-piece edition size is a nod to the film’s year. McQueen wore a blue-dial Calibre 11 Reference 1133B in the movie alongside a Gulf-striped racing suit and Porsche 917K. The new model revisits that visual association; it is not a re-creation of the original movement.
Case, dimensions and water resistance
The angular case is sandblasted Grade 2 titanium. Its proportions, reported by Monochrome Watches, are:

A domed, beveled sapphire crystal covers the dial, and a sapphire caseback reveals the movement. Reported water resistance is 100 m. The width alone does not capture how the square case will wear, so the 47.5 mm length and 14.35 mm thickness are useful figures to consider when assessing fit.
Calibre 11: what is inside?
This release uses an automatic Calibre 11 described by Monochrome Watches as a Sellita SW300 base with a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module. The publication lists a 30 mm diameter, 59 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 42-hour power reserve. Its functions are hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph. Geneva stripes and perlage are visible through the exhibition back.

The Calibre 11 name also appears on Monaco watches with different movement architectures. In particular, this modern movement should not be confused with the original 1969 Calibre 11 or described as mechanically identical to it. Deployant characterizes the white-dial release as ETA-based with a Dubois-Depraz module; Monochrome specifies the Sellita SW300 base. Neither source supports calling this watch an in-house chronograph.
Straps and clasp
Two straps are included: white Nomex textile with orange stitching and blue perforated grained calfskin, also with orange stitching. Monochrome identifies the Nomex textile as fire-resistant and says it was sourced from Hinchman, the American company that made McQueen’s suit for Le Mans. The sandblasted Grade 2 titanium clasp has double safety push-buttons and a HEUER logo.

Edition, launch timing and reported prices
Monochrome Watches reported the 971-piece limited edition as available from May 2025. Contemporary launch-price reports differ:

How to compare it with the blue-dial Gulf Monaco
Deployant compares this white-dial titanium model with the blue-dial steel Monaco reference CBL2115.FC6494. The principal documented distinction is the movement configuration: the white CAW218G.EB0393 uses the Sellita-based Calibre 11 with a Dubois-Depraz module, while the blue-dial CBL2115.FC6494 uses TH 20-00, based on Heuer 02. Choose between them by weighing the dial and Gulf livery you prefer, case material, movement architecture, historical connection and fit. For a purchase, also assess condition, seller status and current regional pricing rather than relying on 2025 launch reports.
