What changed in the 2023 BR-03 update?
In an announcement dated August 22, 2023, Bell & Ross said the revised BR-03 received a 41 mm case, shorter lugs, and thinner hands. The brand also specified the BR-CAL.302 automatic movement and a 54-hour power reserve for that launch. Those are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent test results. The initial range contained eight versions: four with ceramic cases and four with steel cases. The launch group included the BR-03 Military and BR-03 Copper. That eight-model figure describes the 2023 launch, not the size of the current collection.
How the BR-03 design is meant to work
Bell & Ross says the BR-03 takes inspiration from aircraft cockpit instruments and identifies its signature as a “circle in a square with four screws.” The brand emphasizes legibility, precision, and robustness as design aims. These are the manufacturer’s positioning claims; the cited product information does not establish flight certification, navigation-instrument status, or independently tested performance. How the current BR-03 range differs from the launch lineup
The current official US collection includes steel, ceramic, skeleton, and limited-edition models, as well as Chrono, GMT, and Diver families. Its automatic-model caliber label is BR-CAL.302-1; this differs from the BR-CAL.302 wording in the 2023 announcement. The collection page lists BR-CAL.301 for the Chrono and BR-CAL.303 for the GMT. It describes the GMT as offering a dual-time display and identifies the Diver as a square diving watch.
Use these distinctions to narrow the range before comparing individual specifications:

- Dial treatment: Conventional and skeleton displays are both represented, alongside designs specific to individual models.
- Edition status: The catalog mixes standard offerings and limited editions. Confirm the status and availability of the exact model in your region.
