A sand-colored, hand-guilloché hour disc, two inclined oscillators and a titanium-and-carbon case give this version of the Freak S a distinct look. Ulysse Nardin lists two strap references, each limited to 99 pieces.
How the Freak S Nomad tells time
There are no conventional hands at the center of the Freak S Nomad. Instead, the flying carousel rotates around its own axis, with its motion indicating hours and minutes. The unusual display is the defining feature of the Freak concept; on the Nomad, it also makes the movement the visual focus of the dial.
Inside is Ulysse Nardin’s self-winding UN-251 caliber. The maker lists 373 parts, 33 jewels, a 42.15 mm total caliber diameter and a 72-hour power reserve. Its two oversized oscillators are inclined at 20 degrees and use silicon balance wheels. The movement also incorporates a vertical differential with ball bearings and DIAMonSIL escapements. Ulysse Nardin lists a frequency of 2 × 2.5 Hz, or 18,000 vibrations per hour for each oscillator. Ulysse Nardin’s product page provides the technical specifications.
The sand-colored guilloché disc and case
Behind the rotating carousel is a sand-colored hour disc with a CVD coating and diamond-tip guilloché. Ulysse Nardin says an artisan makes the repeating pattern using 240 continuous manual movements over three hours without lifting the hand. That is the manufacturer’s description of the process, rather than an independently timed production measurement.

The brand describes a titanium case and locker, an anthracite PVD-coated titanium bezel, and carbon-fiber sides shaped into lugs. The contrast between the warm-toned disc and dark case components sets the Nomad apart from a conventional metallic-dial treatment.

The available product descriptions establish the strap distinction; they do not establish a difference in movement or case between the references.
Edition size and release
Ulysse Nardin labels both strap configurations limited editions of 99 pieces. The Freak S Nomad was presented in the context of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024; the event-hosted Ulysse Nardin press-release result is dated 9 April 2024. The event press-release listing provides that release context.

Price and availability depend on region
Price figures for this watch need their date, location and tax basis attached. Ulysse Nardin’s Greek regional product page displayed €167,100 when accessed on 8 October 2026. That is a regional listing, not a universal price or confirmation of current inventory.
A 2024 launch report gave different launch prices: €150,000 including VAT, CHF 140,600 including VAT, £130,510 including VAT, and US$148,300 excluding sales tax. These are launch-era figures from different markets and tax bases, so they should not be read as a like-for-like current price list. Monochrome Watches’ 2024 report lists those launch prices and said the watch would be available from Ulysse Nardin and selected retailers. It does not establish current stock.
