Fortis also lists an orange Fortis O-pattern dial for the Amber Orange example, applied Superluminova X1 markers with blue glow, metallic hour and minute hands with Superluminova X1, and a metallic sweep-seconds hand with Superluminova X1 Bull’s Eye. Its listed strap is a hypoallergenic FKM rubber Horizon Strap with a stainless-steel pin buckle and screw-pin mounting system.
The product page lists an Alpha Box, five-year manufacturer warranty, performance certificate, user manual and reversible screwdriver for changing the bracelet or strap as included items. These are Fortis’s published product details; they do not establish independent measurements of accuracy, comfort, lume duration or durability.

Is the M-40 suitable for diving?
Fortis publishes a 300 m / 1,000 ft / 30 atm water-resistance rating and describes the M-40 as “waterproof up to 300m.” The watch also has a unidirectional Gear Bezel and a screw-down crown with a triple-gasket system, according to Fortis. Those are manufacturer specifications, not evidence here of an independent dive test or certification. Follow Fortis’s instructions and have the watch’s water resistance checked and maintained as appropriate before relying on it underwater.
What is the difference between the M-40 and M-44?
The M-40 and M-44 are different model families, and their ratings and bezel designs should not be conflated.

Fortis identifies the M-44 as the 500 m model with the bidirectional bezel and Lock System. That bezel arrangement and rating do not apply to the M-40. See Fortis’s collection information for the M-40 listing.
Which M-40 strap or bracelet should I choose?
The listed collection offers seven dial colors on the Horizon Strap and one Blue Japan option on the Block Bracelet. The page does not establish that every dial can be ordered with either attachment, so confirm the exact configuration before buying.
