Fratello’s five Reverso picks span thin Tribute watches, a vintage dual-time model, a limited Art Deco edition and two modern single-face options. The best fit depends first on how a rectangular case wears on your wrist, then on whether you want one display or two, and whether you are shopping current collection or pre-owned. Fratello published its list on March 14, 2025, so its availability and price observations are historical rather than current quotes.
How to choose among these five Reversos
Would you like a Reverso Monoface, or do you prefer a Duoface? Does it need to be stainless steel, or will you consider a gold Reverso as well? Those choices narrow the field, but fit matters just as much: the cited examples range from 42.9 mm to 46 mm in case length, and a rectangular watch’s length, width and thickness together shape how it sits on the wrist.
- For a thin, historically styled watch: consider the Tribute to 1931 series.
- For a second time display: the vintage Duoface Night & Day adds home time and a day/night indicator.
- For ornate, limited-edition character: the Art Deco reference pairs a salmon dial with a decorated reverse.
- For a contemporary single-face design: compare the Tribute and Classic Small Seconds versions.
Fratello’s recommendations mix older references with watches it discussed as contemporary in March 2025. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s official Reverso collection is the better place to check current collection membership; a regional listing does not guarantee local stock or establish every market’s price.

Dimensions, movements and reserve figures in this table are those reported by Fratello in its March 14, 2025 article, not a complete specification set for every reference or subsequent edition. Its Duoface reserve figure is 45 hours; the other stated reserves are 42 hours.
#1 Best Overall
1. Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931
Fratello groups three 2011 anniversary watches in this pick: two steel versions and one rose-gold version. The article reports a 46 × 27.5 × 7.2 mm case and manual-winding caliber 822 with a 42-hour reserve. The steel dials differ, including a US edition, and Fratello also notes later limited colors and editions. This is the choice to investigate if a slim profile and the early Reverso look matter more than having a second time display. These details describe the editions covered in the article, not every Tribute to 1931 reference.
2. Reverso Duoface “Night & Day,” ref. 270.8.54
This vintage Grande Taille model gives the front dial local time and the second dial home time, with a day/night indicator. Fratello reports a 42 × 26 × 9 mm case, hand-wound caliber 854 and a 45-hour reserve. It is a pre-owned search rather than a direct substitute for a current Duoface: the modern Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds is officially described as combining dual-time functionality with a medium case, but that does not establish identical dimensions or movement to ref. 270.8.54.
3. Reverso Art Deco, ref. 277.34.60
Fratello’s Art Deco selection is distinguished by a white-gold Grand Taille case and salmon guilloché dial. Flip the case to see the skeletonized, engraved caliber 822AD. The article reports production of 200 white-gold and 900 rose-gold examples for the Art Deco models it discusses; those figures should be treated as Fratello’s report, not independently confirmed archival totals. It suits a buyer drawn to decorative detailing on both sides rather than the cleaner, more restrained face of the Monoface options.
4. Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds
Fratello covers blue, red, green and silver-opaline dial versions of this contemporary-style pick. Its reported case measures 45.6 × 27.4 × 8.51 mm, with manual-winding caliber 822 and a 42-hour reserve. The dial colors offer variety without changing the basic single-display proposition. Whether a particular color is currently in the collection or available locally should be checked against Jaeger-LeCoultre’s regional listing and authorized retailers.

- Adjustable 20mm leather strap fits up to 8-inch wrist circumference
- Black dial with silver-tone subdials; date window at 4 o'clock; full markers

- Silver-tone 41mm stainless steel case with mineral glass crystal; luminous hands

5. Reverso Classic Monoface Small Seconds
Fratello presents the Classic as the straightforward modern Reverso look: a vertically brushed outer dial section, black Arabic numerals, an inner guilloché pattern and small seconds. The large version is reported at 45.6 × 27.4 × 8.51 mm; the article also points to a smaller 42.9 × 25.5 mm version on the pre-owned market. Because listings may describe different sizes and generations, confirm the exact reference and measurements rather than relying on the family name alone.
Which one fits your priorities?
| If your priority is… | Start with… | What to verify |
|---|---|---|

| Ornate finishing and a special reverse | Art Deco ref. 277.34.60 | Material, edition documentation and condition |
| A current-looking single-face Tribute | Tribute Monoface Small Seconds | Current regional model listing and dial availability |
| A more restrained classic dial | Classic Monoface Small Seconds | Large versus smaller case and exact reference |
Check fit, condition and availability before buying
Try the proportions, not just the size label
Compare length, width and thickness, ideally by trying the watch on. The longest case here is the Tribute to 1931 at 46 mm, while the cited vintage Duoface is 42 mm long but 9 mm thick. A shorter case is not automatically a thinner or more comfortable watch, and wrist shape can change how a rectangular case wears.

Separate current collection from pre-owned searches
The list includes vintage references and models whose availability may have changed since publication. Check Jaeger-LeCoultre’s collection page for current models, then confirm country-specific availability with the brand or an authorized retailer. For a pre-owned watch, ask for the full reference, clear photographs of both sides, condition details and service documentation where available.
Treat dated prices as historical
Fratello’s euro prices and market observations belong to its March 14, 2025 article. They are not current 2026 quotations and should not be converted into a present-day budget without checking a current regional retailer or listing. Pre-owned asking prices can also differ by condition, completeness and market.
Check strap compatibility by reference
Fratello discusses leather or canvas styling and mesh bracelets, but that does not establish that a generic strap or bracelet fits every Reverso. Before ordering, verify compatibility for the exact reference and the attachment measurements.
