“Winter Cool” is Fratello’s nickname for the white-dial Tissot PR516 Automatic Chronograph, reference T149.462.11.011.00—not an official Tissot edition name. It pairs blue accents and three chronograph counters with a steel bracelet, a 68-hour automatic movement and a 100 m water-resistance rating. Tissot calls it the PR516 41mm; price depends on market, with Tissot Spain listing it at €1,975 when its product page was accessed on October 4, 2026.
What is the “Winter Cool” Tissot PR516?
It is the white-and-blue dial version of Tissot’s steel-bracelet PR516 automatic chronograph. The exact reference is T149.462.11.011.00; Tissot’s official product name is Tissot PR516 41mm. Fratello used “Winter Cool” as a color and style description in its January 10, 2025 launch coverage, rather than identifying a separate named edition. Fratello’s launch article and Tissot’s product listing identify the same watch.
The dial is white with blue details, and the three chronograph counters sit at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. Tissot describes the PR516 as first introduced in the 1960s and inspired by car racing; that is the brand’s account of the line’s origins, not evidence of continuous production since then.

What the chronograph and bezel do
The chronograph uses three subdials: a 12-hour counter, a 30-minute counter and a 60-second counter, alongside a central hand that records elapsed seconds. Fratello describes the bezel as carrying both tachymeter and pulsometer scales. A tachymeter scale can be used to calculate speed over a known distance, while a pulsometer scale is intended for estimating pulse rate by timing a set number of beats. These are functions of the markings; they do not establish measured legibility or performance in use.
Size, bracelet and wearing considerations
The 41 mm diameter and 14.19 mm thickness are Tissot’s listed case measurements; Fratello reports a 49.5 mm lug-to-lug length. The latter measurement is useful alongside diameter when judging how the case may span a wrist. No hands-on fit assessment is established here, so wrist comfort cannot be inferred from the dimensions alone. The listed bracelet weighs 172 g according to Tissot UK, a figure that describes the bracelet listing rather than a stated complete-watch weight.

The bracelet has 20 mm quick-release compatibility, according to Tissot. An alternate strap should be the correct width and compatible with the watch’s quick-release arrangement; width alone does not establish that every aftermarket strap will fit securely.
Movement and water resistance in context
Tissot specifies a 68-hour reserve and a Nivachron balance spring. Fratello identifies the automatic chronograph caliber as ETA/Valjoux A05.231 and notes its relation to the Valjoux 7753 design. The listed functions and specifications do not amount to independent timing tests or a hands-on assessment of winding, operation or service experience.

Quick Recap
How to assess it against another chronograph
- Fit: Compare diameter, thickness and lug-to-lug length, and consider bracelet weight; the measurements do not substitute for trying the watch on.
- Movement and layout: Confirm automatic versus quartz or hand-wound operation, reserve, counter arrangement and whether a date is present. This model is an automatic chronograph with the stated three-counter layout.
- Dial and scale: Decide whether the white dial, blue accents and combined tachymeter/pulsometer bezel suit your intended use. These are design features, not independent legibility findings.
- Construction and intended use: Compare materials and the stated water-resistance rating without treating a depth figure as a use guarantee.
- Price: Compare offers from the same market, with tax treatment and date made clear; launch prices and a later regional listing are not directly interchangeable.
- Strap options: Check both the 20 mm width and the quick-release fit before buying an alternative strap.
