What changed at the Plan-les-Ouates headquarters?
Monochrome Watches reported on 7 June 2019 that Frederique Constant had completed an additional 3,000 m² at its Plan-les-Ouates headquarters, bringing the group headquarters to 6,200 m². The report described both an increase in floor area and a reorganization of the site.
- Ground floor: a Manufacture Experience intended to present heritage watches and explain manufacturing processes.
- First floor: production workshops grouped together.
These are figures and facility details reported in 2019; they do not establish the site’s present layout or total area.
What production goal did Frederique Constant announce?
The 2019 article attributed to then-Managing Director Niels Eggerding a goal of increasing annual production capacity from 160,000 to 250,000 watches within five years. It also reported that the brand had 29 in-house movements at the time and intended to develop further in-house expertise for both mechanical and smartwatch models.

The capacity figure was a forward-looking target, not a verified later output result. The 29-movement count likewise describes the brand as reported in 2019; a current movement count is not established here.
Which watches marked the opening?
The expansion was associated with two limited editions based on the Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Manufacture. The 2019 account describes each as having a 42 mm case, a one-minute tourbillon, a perpetual calendar, a skeletonized dial, and a silicium escapement wheel and anchor. Both versions were fitted with navy-blue sub-dials and outer ring, plus a navy-blue alligator strap.
