Its defining feature is a green-coated titanium bezel, hand-engraved with a phoenix by Japanese metalsmith KOBAYASHI Masao and accented by four emerald-set screws. It pairs that decorative work with MR-G’s solar, radio-controlled and Bluetooth-connected functions.
What the MRG-B2000KT-3A is—and whether it is still available
Casio announced the dark-green MRG-B2000KT-3A as a numbered edition of 800 pieces worldwide, with shipping scheduled for November 2025. The international product page also gave a publication embargo of 10:30 a.m. Japan Standard Time on November 1, 2025; the stated shipping date has passed. Availability depends on region. As accessed October 8, 2026, Casio Europe labels the reference an “Old Model,” while Casio America’s product page displayed a purchase pathway and limited stock. That US page listed $8,000. Inventory can change, and these regional pages do not establish availability elsewhere.
Why the phoenix bezel stands out
The design concept is the kurogane-tsuba, an iron hand guard on a Japanese katana, reimagined for MR-G. Casio says the titanium bezel is deep-layer hardened and finished in green DLC to evoke kurogane-iro, which it glosses as “iron color.”

Hand engraving by KOBAYASHI Masao
Casio identifies KOBAYASHI Masao, a third-generation metal craftsman from Otsu in Shiga Prefecture, as the artist who engraves the phoenix. The company says he uses hammer and chisel and shishiai-bori bas-relief carving. Casio’s product page describes the result this way: “Each individual bezel is painstakingly engraved by hand, no two alike, each truly one-of-a-kind.” The characterization of each bezel’s uniqueness is Casio’s; the company also notes that the case pattern varies from watch to watch.
Emeralds, color and other design details
Four bezel screws are set with emeralds. Casio presents the stones as symbols of wisdom and the ability to see truth. A red-to-orange vapor-deposition gradation on the dial ring is intended to evoke phoenix plumage. The dial’s arrow-fletching pattern and curved, blade-like indexes also carry sword-related symbolism in Casio’s design description.
The case has a heat-formed crystalline pattern that Casio compares with nie patterns on a Japanese sword blade, and a brown AIP coating that gives it a coppery hue. A “2025 LIMITED” plaque appears on the case side.

Materials, dimensions and wear
The watch combines a titanium case and bezel with a Dura Soft fluoro-rubber band. The crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective coating. Casio Europe lists the following dimensions and fit details:

The MRG-B2000KT-3A is a fully featured G-SHOCK rather than a display-only collectible. Casio lists shock resistance, ISO 764-compliant magnetic resistance, Tough Solar charging, Bluetooth Smartphone Link and radio-controlled timekeeping through Multi Band 6.

Casio America listed the MRG-B2000KT-3A at $8,000 on its official US product page, observed October 8, 2026. That is a region- and date-specific listed price, not a verified worldwide launch price or a price for every market. The international launch page establishes the November 2025 shipping schedule and 800-piece quantity but does not give a single universal MSRP. See the Casio America product page for the US listing.
