The Gerald Charles Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition pairs an unusual anti-clockwise jumping-hour display with a 42 mm Grade 5 titanium case and a lapis lazuli-centered dial. Announced in 2025 to mark the Maison’s 25th anniversary, it is limited to 100 pieces. The specifications and design details below are from Gerald Charles; they are not a substitute for a hands-on assessment.
How the GC39’s jumping hour works
The hour appears on a 12-hour disc rather than on a conventional hour hand. The disc advances once every 60 minutes, while a central hand indicates the minutes. Gerald Charles describes the jumping-hour display as anti-clockwise. In practical terms, the minute hand provides the continuous indication and the hour changes in a single jump at the hour.
The watch was announced at Watches and Wonders Geneva on 1 April 2025. Its reference is GC39-TNPS-LSEN-RSDP-REM. Gerald Charles presents it as a contemporary reinterpretation of the 2005 Maestro GC39 associated with Gérald Charles Genta. Gerald Charles’ launch announcement describes the anniversary edition as a celebration of Genta’s creativity and passion for fine watchmaking.
Case, dial and movement
Asymmetrical titanium case
The stepped, asymmetrical Maestro case is polished Grade 5 titanium. Gerald Charles specifies dimensions of 42 x 42 mm, a total thickness of 11 mm and a total weight of 96 g. A screw-down crown has Clous de Paris finishing. The stated water resistance is 10 ATM/100 m; this is the manufacturer’s rating, not an independently tested result.

Lapis lazuli dial
The dial centers on lapis lazuli, set within a blue frame and black minute track. Polished blue cabochon indexes and blue sword-shaped hands complete the display. Gerald Charles calls the surface treatment meta-guillochage and describes it as a proprietary micro-chemical engraving technique. That description is the Maison’s claim, not an independently verified comparison with other dial-making methods.
Automatic movement and finishing
The automatic Swiss Manufacture 4.0 movement has an in-house-developed jumping-hours module. The official technical sheet lists 265 components, 38 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 A/h (4 Hz), and a 50-hour power reserve. Its stated thickness is 6.15 mm including the jumping-hour module.

Gerald Charles specifies Côtes de Genève and perlage finishing, rhodium-plated module wheels, and a central oscillating weight with a honeycomb motif and anniversary logo. Strap, warranty and ownership details
The supplied strap is royal-blue vulcanised rubber, sized 24/20, with Clous de Paris patterning on top and Gerald Charles logo tapisserie on the reverse. It closes with a polished butterfly deployant buckle. The published strap size alone does not establish that the strap is user-replaceable or that generic 24/20 straps will fit; confirm the attachment and compatibility with the Maison or an authorized dealer before ordering a replacement.

Gerald Charles specifies a two-year warranty, extendable to five years after registration in its Smart Warranty system. Because the extension depends on registration, confirm the current terms and geographic eligibility with the manufacturer.
Price, edition size and availability
The Gerald Charles collection page lists the GC39 25th Anniversary Edition at $48,600. That is a page-listed price, not a guarantee of current stock or a universal market price. The Maison states that production is limited to 100 pieces and that 40 were to be delivered at launch. Its product page previously showed a pre-order with delivery after two months, but that time-sensitive listing does not establish present availability in every market.
