Girard-Perregaux presented its Infinity Editions at Geneva Watch Days in 2020, bringing polished black onyx and gold accents to five familiar watch lines. The collection ranged from the globe-displaying Cosmos to the integrated-bracelet Laureato, openworked Free Bridge and dressier Vintage 1945 and Vintage 1966. The launch was reported on 27 August 2020; these are historical releases, not new 2026 models.
What are the Girard-Perregaux Infinity Editions?
Infinity Editions were dark-themed versions of Girard-Perregaux watches presented during the 2020 Geneva Watch Days launch cycle. Polished black onyx is the visual link between them, set against gold details. The execution varies by model: the Cosmos pairs its onyx globes with a grade 5 titanium case, while the Laureato versions were described with steel cases.

How each Infinity Edition differs
Cosmos: a pair of rotating globes
The Cosmos is the most complication-led model in the group. Time+Tide described a grade 5 titanium case and two rotating onyx globes, hand-painted with lacquer and gold dust. The celestial globe was reported to rotate through 360 degrees in 23 hours 56 minutes, while the Earth globe completes a reported 360-degree rotation in 24 hours. The launch report gave an edition of eight and announced availability through selected Girard-Perregaux retailers from September 2020. These are launch-report specifications, not independent test results.
Laureato: the integrated-bracelet option
The Laureato Infinity Edition kept the line’s integrated-bracelet format while changing the dial treatment to polished black onyx with rose-gold details. The 2020 report described 38 mm and 42 mm steel versions. Distribution began with a Wempe exclusive; GPHG specifies that the limited two-month arrangement started in September 2020 and covered selected points of sale in Germany and Wempe flagship stores in New York and London. This records the original launch arrangement, not current inventory.

- The balance wheel is secured in place by a black PVD coated bridge at 6 o'clock. The generous proportions of the balance wheel (10.15mm in diameter) makes it less subject to disturbances and thus more accurate.
- The micro-rotor is located to the top left of the movement, while the main-spring barrel is located to the right side for a symmetrical design.
The official Vintage 1945 page’s sold-out label establishes the status of reference 25882-11-631-BB6B on that page, but not the status of every model in the collection. The cited sources do not establish present-day stock for the other editions or current resale prices.
