What are the Glashütte Original Senator Meissen limited editions?
They are a three-design collaboration between German watchmaker Glashütte Original and porcelain manufactory MEISSEN. The partnership brings MEISSEN porcelain and decoration techniques to the dial, while the watches use Glashütte Original’s red-gold Senator case and automatic Calibre 36-16. The two named “Mystic Maison” editions have restrained single-color grounds; the eight-piece edition sets a multicolored motif against celadon porcelain.
The official launch announcement, dated 9 October 2025, framed the project around the two companies’ craft traditions and their anniversaries in that year: 180 years for Glashütte Original and 315 years for MEISSEN. Those figures describe the 2025 context, not anniversaries occurring now. Swatch Group’s launch announcement said the collection offered “three different dial designs.”
How many Senator Meissen watches were made?
The two Mystic Maison editions are limited to 150 pieces each. The crater-vase-inspired collage edition is limited to eight pieces, making it the scarcest of the three by announced edition size.

The two Mystic Maison versions share the same published watch specifications; their main visible distinctions are the dial ground and ornament, plus the strap color. The collage edition is a separate dial design, not simply another colorway of Mystic Maison. How is a MEISSEN porcelain watch dial made?
According to Swatch Group’s 2025 launch account, the dial begins as an extremely thin porcelain disc. The disc is fired at 1,400°C, then inspected for quality and flatness. Decoration, lettering and Roman numerals are applied by hand in layers, with each painted layer fired at 900°C. This layered process allows the ornament to sit on the porcelain dial rather than being presented as a printed graphic.

The two Mystic Maison watches keep the display to hour and minute hands, leaving the porcelain artwork visually prominent. The official launch material describes the decoration and production process; it does not provide a dial thickness or a production yield.
What are the case and movement specifications?
The following specifications are published by Glashütte Original for the two identified Mystic Maison references. They should not be assumed to cover every detail of the eight-piece collage model, whose reference-specific product specifications were not identified in the cited material.

The manufacturer lists Calibre 36-16 with a Glashütte three-quarter plate and stripe finish, hand-engraved balance cock, skeletonized rotor with a 21-carat gold oscillation weight, swan-neck fine adjustment, beveled and polished edges, polished steel parts, and blued screws. It describes the silicon balance spring as insensitive to magnetic fields and temperature fluctuations. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
