Google’s Performance Loop Band did not launch in 2026: it debuted in the U.S. on November 26, 2024, at $59.99. Google’s U.S. Store now lists it for Pixel Watch generations through Pixel Watch 5, but buyers must choose the version that matches their watch’s 41 mm or 45 mm case. Its fabric, stretchable, micro-adjustable design is aimed at workouts; Google calls it “workout-friendly,” not waterproof.
What is the Performance Loop Band?
It is Google’s first-party fabric-style strap for Pixel Watch, designed with exercise in mind. Google describes it as micro-adjustable, with stretch intended to help maintain a snug fit as you move. The band combines recycled polyester, nylon and elastane yarns with stainless-steel lugs and a hook-and-loop-style closure. Google’s technical sheet says at least 23% of the product’s weight is recycled material.

Google Pixel Watch Performance Loop Band - Compatible with the Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2, and 41mm... | $54.93 | Buy on Amazon |
Those details describe the design, not a guarantee that every wearer will find the band more comfortable or that it will outlast another strap. Fabric may feel more breathable than silicone to some people, while the closure allows finer adjustment than a strap with fixed holes. The band is sold separately from the watch. Which Pixel Watch models fit it?
As listed on Google’s U.S. Store on August 18, 2026, the band is compatible with Pixel Watch through Pixel Watch 5. The listing covers both case sizes for newer generations, but not for the original Pixel Watch or Pixel Watch 2.

| Watch | Compatible band size |
|---|---|
| Pixel Watch | 41 mm |
| Pixel Watch 2 | 41 mm |
| Pixel Watch 3 | 41 mm or 45 mm |
| Pixel Watch 4 | 41 mm or 45 mm |
| Pixel Watch 5 | 41 mm or 45 mm |
Choose by the watch’s case size, not just its generation. The 41 mm and 45 mm versions are separate choices and should not be treated as interchangeable. Older launch coverage reflects the original 2024 lineup—Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3—and predates Google’s later compatibility listings. Will it fit your wrist?
Google lists one size for each watch-case version, rather than separate small and large options within that version.
| Band version | Listed wrist circumference |
|---|---|
| 41 mm | 137–203 mm |
| 45 mm | 140–215 mm |
Measure your wrist circumference before ordering and compare it with the range for the case-size band you need. The 41 mm version may not fit below 137 mm, and the 45 mm version’s listed range ends at 215 mm. If your measurement is near a limit, do not assume that the other case-size version will solve the fit: Google specifies the band by watch case, and fit at the boundary is best confirmed by trying it.
Google recommends wearing the watch snugly for optimal performance. A loose fit can be uncomfortable and may affect health-tracking reliability, so adjust the closure to keep the watch securely against your wrist without making it uncomfortably tight. Google Pixel Watch fit and band guidance
Which colors are listed?
The Google U.S. Store listing has different color selections for the two band sizes. Lug finishes are included because they are part of the listed combinations.
| Size | Listed color and lug combinations |
|---|---|
| 41 mm | Obsidian with Matte Black stainless-steel lugs; Porcelain with Polished Silver; Wintergreen with Champagne Gold; Peony with Polished Silver; Moonstone with Polished Silver |
| 45 mm | Obsidian with Matte Black stainless-steel lugs; Porcelain with Polished Silver; Peony with Polished Silver; Moonstone with Moonstone stainless-steel lugs |
These are the combinations listed for the U.S. Store, not a promise that every color will be in stock or offered in every country. See Google Store color and availability details
Is it suitable for swimming or showering?
Google labels the Performance Loop “workout-friendly.” The available technical sheet does not give it the same explicit sweat-and-water-resistant description used for Google’s Active Band. That wording supports considering it for running, gym sessions and general exercise, but it does not establish that the fabric band is waterproof or independently verified for prolonged water exposure. If swimming or showering with a band is a priority, choose one Google explicitly describes as water-resistant instead.
Fabric can also absorb sweat and take longer to dry than silicone; that is a practical consideration of the material, not a published drying-time measurement for this band. Google Active Band specifications · Google accessory technical sheet

Consider the Performance Loop if
- You exercise regularly and want a fabric band with fine-grained adjustment.
- You prefer textile to a rubber-style strap and want a stretch element in the band.
- You want a first-party Google accessory, and your wrist measurement falls within the range for the band size matching your watch.
- You are comfortable checking the current price against less expensive third-party options rather than assuming the official accessory is automatically the best value.
Choose another style if
- You want a band Google explicitly describes as water-resistant for swimming, showering or frequent wet use.
- You prefer a strap that is easier to wipe clean and dries quickly, or dislike hook-and-loop closures.
- Your wrist is outside the listed range for the band size your watch requires.
- You want leather or metal styling for formal wear rather than a workout-oriented fabric strap.
Hook-and-loop fabric may collect lint or wear with use, but the available sources do not establish a representative failure rate or long-term durability result. Treat those as possible ownership considerations, not documented defects.
How does it compare with Google’s other bands?
Google’s first-party alternatives differ mainly in material, intended use and fit options. Check each product page for the latest compatibility and availability before ordering.
| Band | Best suited to | Key difference | Consider instead when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active Band | Everyday wear and users prioritizing water and sweat resistance | HNBR rubber with a soft-touch coating, stainless-steel clasp and lugs; separate small and large sizes for 41 mm and 45 mm watches | You want a lower-maintenance rubber band rather than fabric and micro-adjustment |
| Stretch Band | Soft, casual, all-day or overnight wear | Recycled polyester and spandex; five sizes and a claspless stretch design. Google says it is not sweat- or water-resistant. The accessible listing covers the original Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2 and 41 mm Pixel Watch 3. | You need a band for exercise or wet conditions, or have a newer or 45 mm watch not listed on its product page |
| Crafted Leather Band | Business or formal wear | Italian leather and stainless-steel hardware; listed through Pixel Watch 5 in both case sizes; not water-resistant | You need a breathable sports band or expect substantial sweat or water exposure |
| Two-Tone Leather Band | Formal styling for a 41 mm watch | Italian leather and stainless-steel lugs; not water-resistant | You need a band for exercise, swimming or wet conditions |
Verdict
The Performance Loop is a current first-party option for Pixel Watch owners who want an adjustable fabric band for exercise, and Google’s U.S. listing includes models through Pixel Watch 5. Its case-size-specific fit and stated wrist ranges are essential checks; its “workout-friendly” label is not a water-resistance rating. Whether it is worth buying depends on the current Store price and how much you value fabric and micro-adjustment over a rubber, stretch or leather alternative.
