The 2023 Watches of Switzerland Group exclusive is a three-watch Grand Seiko 62GS release: grey-dial SBGH333, green SBGH335 and purple SBGH337. The Group described SBGH333 as a special edition, while SBGH335 and SBGH337 were each limited to 200 pieces. All three share a 40 mm stainless-steel case and Hi-Beat Caliber 9S85. This is a sourced model overview, not a report of independent wear or accuracy testing.

What the three references are

Watches of Switzerland Group announced the collaboration in 2023 and described the watches as exclusive to its retail group. The announcement said sales would begin on December 4, 2023, through Watches of Switzerland and Mayors. Its stated launch retail price was $6,900 per watch; that is historical launch pricing, not a current quote.

SBGH333 Grey Special edition; no piece count stated.
SBGH335 Green Limited to 200 pieces.
SBGH337 Purple Limited to 200 pieces.

The colors distinguish the trio at a glance: grey is the restrained option, green brings a more noticeable hue, and purple is the most unusual of the three. Those are descriptions of the named dial colors, not claims about how the shades look under particular lighting or on the wrist.

The Group’s 2023 announcement gives the edition designations and launch details. Its Grand Seiko brand-partner page also identifies the 62GS collaboration as a Group exclusive.

How the 62GS fits into Grand Seiko history

Grand Seiko dates the 62GS to 1967 and identifies it as its first automatic model. Its defining construction detail is a bezel-free design in which the crystal meets the case directly. That history gives this release its central design reference: it draws on the 62GS format rather than introducing a new collection lineage. Grand Seiko’s 62GS history and collection page describes the original model and the bezel-free crystal-to-case approach.

Shared case and movement specifications

The Watches of Switzerland Group announcement lists the same core specifications for all three references:

  • Case: 40 mm, stainless steel.
  • Movement: automatic Hi-Beat Caliber 9S85, with 37 jewels.
  • Power reserve: 55 hours, as stated for the caliber.
  • Accuracy specification: +5 to −3 seconds per day when static, as stated in the announcement.

The static accuracy figure is a published specification, not a result from timing these particular watches in use. Real-world performance can vary with wearing conditions, position and the individual watch; the announcement does not provide independent test results.

What is—and is not—established about exclusivity and value

The Group called the trio exclusive to its network, which included Watches of Switzerland and Mayors in the launch announcement. That establishes the announced sales channel, not present-day stock or whether any examples are currently offered by those retailers. Current retail prices, availability and resale values are not established here.

Watches of Switzerland Group Deputy CEO David Hurley described an earlier Toge collaboration as “The Grand Seiko Toge x WoS timepiece was the highest performing exclusive that we have had from any brand partner,” according to the Group’s brand-partner page. That statement concerns the Toge watch, reflects Hurley’s account, and is not an independently audited performance finding or a claim about these three 62GS references.
