Grand Seiko’s US boutique lists the Kodo Constant-Force Tourbillon SLGT003 at USD 350,000 and asks buyers to inquire about availability. That listing does not confirm current stock. At the watch’s 2022 launch, Grand Seiko listed a Japanese suggested retail price of ¥44,000,000, tax included, and an approximate European recommended retail price of €370,000. These are market- and date-specific reference prices, not directly comparable current global prices.

Is the SLGT003 available?
The US boutique product page says “Please Inquire About Availability.” That is an invitation to contact the boutique, not evidence that a watch is currently in stock. Grand Seiko and the US boutique identify the SLGT003 as a global limited edition of 20; that is the edition size, not a count of pieces remaining for sale.
What the Kodo SLGT003 is
The SLGT003 is Grand Seiko’s Kodo Constant-Force Tourbillon, powered by manually wound Caliber 9ST1. Its defining feature is the integration of a tourbillon and a constant-force mechanism into one unit on a single axis. Grand Seiko calls the watch Kodo, meaning “heartbeat” in Japanese, linking the name to the motion and sound of the mechanism.

- Three-fold clasp with push button release
- Dual-curved sapphire crystal
- Power reserve display on the back
- Power resrve Approx. 72 hours(3 days)
Grand Seiko’s launch release described the arrangement as unprecedented for the brand and said it was the first time in horological history that a tourbillon and constant-force mechanism had been combined as one unit on a single axis. That is the manufacturer’s own claim, rather than an independent industry consensus.
Caliber 9ST1: accuracy and power reserve
- Winding and construction: manual winding, 44 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 8 beats per second.
- Power reserve: stated at 72 hours overall; the constant-force mechanism is specified to operate for 50 hours.
- Accuracy: +5 to −3 seconds per day under static test conditions. This is a manufacturer specification under those conditions, not a guarantee of everyday-wear accuracy.
Grand Seiko says each Caliber 9ST1 receives a 34-day accuracy evaluation across six positions and three temperatures. The movement is fully wound every 48 hours during that manufacturer-described test.
