Its announced price is €580,000, but current stock and transaction pricing are unverified.
What the Grand Planetarium Eccentric Meteorite displays
The defining feature is a miniature mechanical planetarium: Mercury, Venus, Earth and its Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune circle a central Sun. The brand’s digital book describes the display as showing all eight planets, and the Fondation Haute Horlogerie (FHH) and specialist coverage describe their movement as real-time. The scale is not a conventional calendar or a decorative static arrangement; it is an attempt to represent the planets’ differing orbital speeds on the watch’s dial. The hours and minutes share the display with the moving planets. The brand’s release also describes the central Sun indicator as rotating with the seconds. FHH calls the watch the first mechanical planetarium watch to show all eight planets at their real orbital speeds; that priority claim is FHH’s characterization, rather than an independently established historical finding. How the meteorite version differs from the 2024 Eccentric
The original Grand Planetarium Eccentric was presented in 2024. FHH describes that model as a 44 mm watch offered in platinum or rose gold, with eight hand-painted planets over aventurine. The meteorite iteration followed a year later at Watches and Wonders. FHH says its case was fashioned from a one-kilogram block of meteorite. On the Meteorite, the whole dial is not meteorite. The FHH profile identifies aventurine glass, a meteorite ring and real fragments of Martian nakhlite meteorite. Christiaan van der Klaauw calls the calibre its Grand Planetarium manufacture movement. The English product release gives an automatic winding system, 60-hour power reserve, 32 jewels and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz. Edition size, price and availability
The edition is limited by the availability and quality of suitable raw meteorite. In a French press release, the brand said the maximum would be three and that two had been produced from the available material at the time of publication. What makes this watch compelling—and what to keep in perspective
The appeal rests on a rare combination: a display built around actual differences in planetary orbital speed, plus a meteorite case whose potential production is unusually constrained. The result is more than a starry dial, but the available specifications do not establish details such as the exact orbital cycle represented by each planet, accuracy tolerances for the display, or day-to-day wear comfort. A 44 mm diameter and 14.3 mm thickness also make it a substantial watch on paper; wrist fit depends on the wearer and cannot be inferred from dimensions alone.
The cosmic-origin language surrounding meteorite is evocative, but the documented material description is specific: a meteorite case, an aventurine dial and a ring with Martian nakhlite fragments. It is not accurate to describe the entire watch or case as Martian, or the whole dial as meteorite.
