Reference 39500-21-3266-6CX is limited to 350 pieces. Its published specifications include a 40.30 × 38 mm titanium case, 200 m water resistance and an automatic GP03300 movement. The wear impressions below are Michael Stockton’s, from his June 16, 2025 Fratello review; they are not an independent hands-on test by WatchRanker.
What is the Deep Diver Legacy Edition?
This is a modern revival of Girard-Perregaux’s Deep Diver, made in collaboration with Bamford Watch Department. The reference is 39500-21-3266-6CX, and Girard-Perregaux lists the edition at 350 pieces. The brand connects the cushion-shaped case and faceted bezel to its 1969 Ref. 9108, while the more exuberant dial takes inspiration from a 1971 Deep Diver. Girard-Perregaux’s product page and its Deep Diver overview provide the model details.
The original Ref. 9108 had a red dial, a cushion case and a bezel with 14 facets, according to Girard-Perregaux. The brand says the case design anticipated geometry later seen in the Laureato. For this edition, the colorful dial is not a literal reproduction of the 1969 watch: the manufacturer associates its bolder treatment with the 1971 version.
George Bamford, founder of Bamford Watch Department, described the collaboration as “an amazing honour” to bring his company’s style to Girard-Perregaux’s emblematic Deep Diver. The result retains a recognizably vintage outline but makes the dial the focal point rather than pursuing a restrained historical reissue.

- The return of an icon: The mens Caravelle Sea Hunter is reborn for the modern age. Inspired by one of Caravelles most celebrated models, the new Caravelle Sea Hunter is sized for modern tastes at 39mm, with a case crafted from 316L stainless steel and echoing the sporting form of the original.
- Ensuring ideal legibility and functionality, a high-contrast black dial with a date display and luminescent hands and markers is complemented by a matching rotating 60-minute timing bezel.
- The Caravelle Sea Hunter is powered by a 21-jewel automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours.
- Paired with a 3-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp and rated to 200m water resistance, this watch can go wherever you do so you can do whatever you want.
- Experience an icon remade with the mens Caravelle Sea Hunter.
How do the dial and bezel work?
The orange, blue and white dial gives the watch its immediate character. It is paired with luminous hands and markers and a date display. Girard-Perregaux describes an internal rotating dive bezel operated by the crown at 2 o’clock; a second crown sits opposite it at 4 o’clock. The bezel therefore sits beneath the crystal rather than forming the watch’s external timing ring. The case’s 14-facet exterior bezel is a separate design feature.
The two crosshatched crowns may recall the look of vintage EPSA Super Compressor cases, but visual inspiration should not be mistaken for construction. Fratello reviewer Michael Stockton is explicit: “The Deep Diver isn’t a Super Compressor.”

- HIGH-BEAT PT5000 AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT: Powered by a PT5000 mechanical movement operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz). It supports self-winding, manual winding and hacking seconds, with an approximate 38–40-hour power reserve for daily wear or watch rotation.
- THREE VINTAGE DIAL OPTIONS: Choose Aged Brown with an aged texture, Classic Black with gold-tone markers, or Retro Blue with a date window. Luminous hands and markers aid time reading, while the rotating aluminum bezel retains a classic diver layout.
- DOMED SAPPHIRE AND 316L STEEL: The domed sapphire crystal uses an inner AR coating to reduce distracting reflections while helping resist scratches. The polished and brushed 316L stainless steel case provides a durable, corrosion-resistant exterior.
- 200M WATER RESISTANCE: A screw-down crown and screw-down solid case back support a 200M/20ATM rating for swimming, snorkeling and regular activities around water. Keep the crown fully secured before water contact and rinse the watch after saltwater use.
- BALANCED 40MM CASE AND BRACELET: The case measures 40mm in diameter, 46.6mm lug to lug and 12.3mm thick. A 20mm stainless steel bracelet measuring approximately 18.5cm and an approximate watch weight of 129g create a balanced wrist profile.
Stockton says the colorful design trades away some legibility. That is a useful caveat for a watch whose visual appeal depends on its strong color contrasts: the same palette that makes it distinctive may not be the choice for someone who prioritizes an especially plain, quickly read dial.

Girard-Perregaux identifies the GP03300 as an in-house automatic calibre. Fratello’s June 16, 2025 launch coverage describes the original GP 461 Gyromatic as a unidirectional winding system using two Gyrotron wheels with rubies rather than ball bearings, intended to reduce wear and friction. That is historical context about the earlier mechanism, not a feature of the modern GP03300.

How does it wear?
In his June 16, 2025 Fratello review, Michael Stockton says the watch wears larger than its dimensions suggest. He also finds that the lightweight titanium case and flexible rubber strap help balance it and improve comfort. Those are his subjective observations, not a fit guarantee: wrist shape, strap adjustment and personal preferences can change how a cushion case feels.
Fratello reports that the package includes both blue and orange rubber straps. The blue strap uses a titanium buckle and quick-release bars; the orange strap also has a titanium buckle. The second color offers a way to shift the look without changing the watch itself.

- Refined Proportions & Vintage-Inspired Design: At just 11.8mm thick, this watch features a carefully re-engineered case and bezel for better visual balance. The inner rehaut is straightened (not sloped like the original 5513), which opens up the dial for improved legibility while keeping the overall dimensions compact. The bezel measures 40.7mm — slightly enlarged for a more natural, balanced look on the wrist
- Premium PT5000 / PT5004 Automatic Movement: Powered by the high-precision PT5000 (date) or PT5004 (no-date) movement, beating 8 times per second (28,800 vibrations per hour) for an incredibly smooth seconds hand motion. With 25 jewels to reduce friction, it delivers performance comparable to the Swis ETA 2824 and Sellita SW200. Plus, a 38-hour power reserve and hacking seconds let you set the time precisely, creating a fluid glide that feels just like a luxury Swis timepiece
- Scratch Domed Sapphire Crystal: Crafted from 316L stainless steel with a refined case finish for durability and a premium feel. The domed sapphire crystal features a high-clarity anti-reflective (AR) coating, delivering excellent scratch resistance and easy readability from any angle. Plus, the unidirectional rotating bezel offers crisp, satisfying clicks with 120 precise positions for reliable dive timing
- Super Luminous BGW9/C3 Light: This watch features Swis Super-Luminous BGW9 or C3 luminous material on the hands, markers, and dial. The BGW9 emits a cool blue glow for long-lasting visibility — lasting at least 5 hours in the dark — while the C3 provides a bright green initial burst for quick readability after moving from light to dark. Both recharge quickly in bright environments. The matte black dial with applied indices ensures perfect legibility by day
- 20Bar Water Resistant: Our WD5513P professional mechanical dive watch delivers true 20Bar/200M water resistance, built to meet ISO 6425 dive watch standards. The screw-down crown is a riple-sealed system that prevents water intrusion (please tighten crown before contact with water). And with the double gasket system - Reinforced at crown, case back, and crystal. Suitable for professional marine activities, swimming, water sports, and daily wearing. Not recommended for showering with hot water
Price and availability
Girard-Perregaux’s US product page listed the watch at USD 15,900 when accessed on October 7, 2026, and displayed contact and reservation prompts. That is a current US listing at the time checked, not confirmation of stock. The manufacturer says the 350-piece model is available through Girard-Perregaux retailers and online at Bamford Watch Department; prospective buyers should confirm availability directly.
For context, Fratello’s June 16, 2025 launch report listed prices of €16,000, £12,900 and US$15,100. Those are dated launch prices for their respective currencies and markets, not interchangeable current prices. The current US product listing is higher than the US launch figure.

Who is it for?
The Deep Diver Legacy Edition makes the most sense for someone drawn to its particular combination of vintage case geometry and deliberately loud color. The 200 m rating, internal rotating bezel and automatic movement give it recognizable dive-watch functions, while the limited-edition format and collaboration are central to its identity. It is less suited to a buyer looking for an understated dial or a watch whose wearable footprint feels compact: Stockton’s review specifically notes that it wears larger than the dimensions suggest.
