The original silver-dial Raymond Weil Millesime Automatic Small Seconds, reference 2930-STC-65001, makes its case with a carefully layered sector dial and restrained, vintage-inspired proportions. It is a modern design rather than a reissue of a documented historic Raymond Weil watch. Its appeal is strongest if you want the sector-dial look in a 39.5 mm steel case; the sporty hands and short stated power reserve are worth weighing against that visual charm.
Which Millesime Small Seconds is this?
This hands-on review concerns the original silver-dial 39.5 mm reference, 2930-STC-65001. The anthracite version is reference 2930-STC-60001. Do not confuse either with Raymond Weil’s later 35 mm silver model, reference 2130-STC-65001: that watch has a different movement specification and appears on the brand’s current UK product listing. Raymond Weil’s UK listing identifies the smaller model’s details.

The Millesime’s vintage cues do not make it a reproduction. Monochrome reports that the watch was designed from scratch, without a historic Raymond Weil blueprint as its base. That distinction matters if you are looking for a faithful reissue rather than a contemporary watch using a familiar period style.
What makes the sector dial appealing?
The dial separates the indications into visual zones: an hour track, a minute track and a small-seconds display at 6 o’clock. On the silver version, the center has a brushed appearance, the hour track is smoother, and the minute track is finely grooved or snailed. The contrasting finishes give the dial depth without relying on color or ornament alone. Reviewers describe these surfaces in slightly different terms, so the useful point is their visible contrast and the way the tracks divide the face.

The small-seconds subdial anchors the lower half, while the circular tracks give the rest of the dial an orderly, instrument-like character. Monochrome’s review praises the overall balance, but notes that the fine outer precision track is not especially useful on a small-seconds watch. Hodinkee likewise finds the dial readable and well balanced, while objecting to the hands: in that reviewer’s view, they look too sporty for the otherwise dressier design. The dial also carries the word “Automatic,” another detail Hodinkee questions.
These are matters of taste rather than specification. The layered tracks and finishes are the watch’s visual strength; whether the hands and printed text belong with that styling is the main aesthetic reservation raised by the reviews.

Case dimensions, movement and specifications
Independent reviews describe the original 2930 reference as a moderate-sized dress watch with a slim profile. Their measurements are close, with a small variation in lug-to-lug length:
| Specification | Original 39.5 mm, ref. 2930-STC-65001 | Later 35 mm, ref. 2130-STC-65001 |
|---|---|---|
| Diameter | 39.5 mm (Monochrome, Fratello and Hodinkee) | 35 mm (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
| Thickness | 10.25 mm (Monochrome, Fratello and Hodinkee) | 10.25 mm (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
| Lug to lug | 46 mm (Monochrome and Hodinkee); 46.3 mm (Fratello) | not stated (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
| Movement | RW4251, based on Sellita SW261-1 (Monochrome and Fratello) | RW4250 (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
| Power reserve | 38 hours (Monochrome and Fratello) | 41 hours (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
| Frequency | 28,800 vibrations per hour (Monochrome and Fratello) | not stated (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
| Water resistance | 50 m (Monochrome and Fratello) | 50 m (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
| Crystal and back | Box-shaped sapphire crystal with antireflective coating; sapphire display back (Monochrome) | Glass-box sapphire crystal with dual-sided antireflective treatment; sapphire display back (Raymond Weil UK listing) |
For the original, the 38-hour reserve and RW4251 specification belong to the 39.5 mm reference, not the later 35 mm watch. The brand’s UK listing assigns RW4250 and a 41-hour reserve to reference 2130-STC-65001. Both models are listed at 10.25 mm thick and 50 m water resistance, but their movement figures should not be merged.
Fratello’s reviewer says the original felt moderate and slim on their wrist; Hodinkee’s reviewer reports that it wore acceptably as a dress watch on a 16 cm wrist. Those are individual impressions, not a fit guarantee. Check the lug-to-lug measurement alongside your wrist shape and the strap’s curvature rather than judging fit from diameter alone.
Price and availability depend on reference and region
Prices reported for the original 39.5 mm watch vary by publication and date. Monochrome listed it at €1,950 / US$1,895 in its 2024 review; Fratello reported €1,950 at launch in 2023. Those are dated publication figures, not a universal current price. Raymond Weil’s UK page, accessed 8 October 2026, displays £1,950 for the later 35 mm silver reference 2130-STC-65001, which the brand says became available in early April 2025. Confirm the exact reference, local price and availability with a retailer before buying.

How it compares with other sector-dial watches
The Millesime belongs in a broader conversation about vintage-inspired sector dials, but the available reviews do not establish a controlled side-by-side comparison. Monochrome names the Longines Heritage Classic Sector, Furlan Marri sector models and Baltic HMS 003 as alternatives; Hodinkee also discusses Longines and Furlan Marri. Hodinkee describes Baltic’s dial as less detailed or textured, while noting that it is much cheaper in that publication’s comparison.
Monochrome’s article gives comparison prices of €2,500 for the Longines Heritage Classic Sector and CHF 1,350 including taxes for Furlan Marri. These are publication-specific observations, not confirmed current prices. To choose among them, compare the exact model and market you can buy, then consider:

Who is the 2930-STC-65001 for?
The original Millesime Small Seconds is a considered option for someone drawn to a silver sector dial, visible finishing contrasts and a case that independent reviewers measured at 39.5 mm across and about 46 mm lug-to-lug. It is less compelling if your priority is a long power reserve, a strictly traditional hand design, or a historically faithful Raymond Weil reissue. Try it on if possible: one reviewer’s successful fit on a 16 cm wrist cannot predict how the lugs will sit on yours.
For a smaller version, the official UK listing establishes a 35 mm alternative, but with the RW4250 movement and a 41-hour reserve. Treat that as a distinct model, not simply a reduced-size edition with the original’s specifications.
Recent collection context
In a manufacturer announcement dated 26 February 2026, Raymond Weil described Tuxedo variants in black and white, midnight blue and black, and red grape and light grey. The brand says these versions use alternating light and dark sector zones and luminous silver-tone hands. The announcement also calls the Millesime Small Seconds a 2023 GPHG Challenge Prize winner; that award history is the manufacturer’s attribution. The announcement quotes CEO Elie Bernheim: “Millesime, as its name suggests, will allow RAYMOND WEIL to move through time with panache. It is an opportunity we are proud to embrace.“
