A March 2025 Fratello Watches report describes an author visiting the atelier and examining the watches; the observations below distinguish that account from specifications reported across publications.
A sculptural case with unusual proportions
The Ornament Nouveau’s case is made from 3D-printed Grade 5 titanium, with sapphire crystal at the front and back. Launch coverage describes selective hand finishing over the printed structure, so the result is not simply an untouched industrial surface: the design combines additive manufacturing with finishing work that emphasizes its sculpted forms.
Published dimensions agree on a 39.5 mm diameter and 9.5 mm thickness, but differ on the length across the curved, sculpted lugs. Fratello Watches gives 47 mm; Watch I Love reports 47.2 mm; MONOCHROME lists 48.5 mm. The difference may reflect measurement conventions or source variation, so treat the lug-to-lug figure as approximate rather than a settled precision measurement.

The HW-M02: hand-wound, double-barrel, and Dutch-developed
At the center is the HW-M02, described in coverage as a Dutch-developed, in-house manufacture caliber. It is manually wound and uses two barrels. Reports list 24 jewels, a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), and an approximately 83-hour power reserve.
Through the transparent caseback, the movement’s sculptural construction is part of the watch’s visual identity. Reports describe steel bridges with sculpted forms, a double-concave mainplate, hand decoration, and a free-sprung balance visible through a transparent balance bridge called the Holthinbridge. These are published descriptions of the architecture and finishing; they are not independent measurements of movement performance.

What the Eclipse dial does in UV light
The transparent Eclipse dial is reported to turn smoke-black when exposed to ultraviolet light. That change gives the watch a second visual character: the movement is more exposed when the dial is clear and less visible as the dial darkens.
Fratello Watches and retailer coverage describe the darkening as a protective design feature intended to reduce UV exposure to lubricating oils in the openworked movement. That is the stated purpose in those reports, not an independently verified laboratory result. The sources do not establish how quickly the dial changes, how long it remains dark, or what level of UV exposure triggers the effect.

Price, production, and what is not confirmed
Price reports vary by date and configuration, and they should not be read as a current official quote. Fratello Watches reported in March 2025 starting prices of €55,000 excluding VAT for stainless steel and €60,000 excluding VAT for titanium. MONOCHROME’s 2024 launch coverage described an estimate of about €65,000 before tax; Arab Watch Guide also reported approximately €65,000 excluding VAT, while Watch I Love said the exact price was still to be determined. The figures are not a clean like-for-like price history: timing, version, and customization may differ.
Production reporting also distinguishes total run from annual capacity. MONOCHROME reported a 100-piece production announcement and capacity of 20 pieces per year; Watch I Love also reported 100 pieces overall. Those reports do not establish current remaining allocation or delivery timing.

Fratello’s 2025 account also describes customization choices involving the mainplate, chapter ring, Eclipse dial, hands, finishing, and engraving. Those choices may affect price and lead time, and the article does not establish that every option remains available. Confirm configuration, taxes, stock, and delivery timing directly before ordering.
Where it sits in the Holthinrichs range
The Ornament Nouveau is distinct from the more accessible Signature Ornament and Signature Lab Series. Fratello describes the Signature Ornament as a CNC-machined Grade 5 titanium watch using a Sellita SW300 variant, with coverage in 2024–25 putting its reported price around €3,500–€3,750 excluding VAT. That is a bounded comparison with a sibling model, not a substitute with the same case construction, movement, or price level.
