The Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Flamingo Blue” is the turquoise-dial version of Tudor’s 41 mm Black Bay Chrono. Its official model reference is 79360N; independent launch coverage identifies the complete bracelet configuration as M79360N-0024. Black sub-dials and a black tachymeter insert give the bright dial a deliberately high-contrast look. This article synthesizes Tudor’s published specifications and independent reviews; it does not claim first-hand testing.
What exactly is the Flamingo Blue Black Bay Chrono?
Tudor calls the dial color “Flamingo Blue,” describing it as a turquoise hue inspired by South Beach. The January 17, 2025 announcement positions the Black Bay Chrono as a meeting point between Tudor’s motorsport and professional-diving histories. Tudor’s own description says: “Nothing about a blue flamingo blends in, and that’s why the new Black Bay Chrono model was born to stand out, with a dial in a vibrant blue hue that’s unlike anything else in the TUDOR line-up.” That is brand language, not an independent color measurement. Tudor’s announcement dates the release to January 17, 2025.
The official specification sheet uses reference 79360N. Fratello and Hodinkee identify the bracelet-equipped Flamingo Blue configuration as M79360N-0024. Use the latter when you are checking a listing for the exact watch, and do not treat the two references as contradictory: one is the model reference used by Tudor’s sheet, while the other identifies the full configuration in independent coverage.
Design: turquoise, black and a familiar case
The dial is specified as Flamingo Blue with black counters and a date window at six o’clock. The fixed stainless-steel bezel carries a black anodized-aluminum insert with a silver tachymetric scale. The result is a strong light-dark contrast: the turquoise field is the visual focus, while the black counters and bezel provide the graphic framework. Fratello’s reviewer likewise highlighted that contrast as a defining impression; that is subjective commentary rather than a technical defect or measured performance claim.

The 41 mm case uses 316L stainless steel with polished and satin-brushed surfaces. A domed sapphire crystal covers the dial. The five-link 316L steel bracelet repeats the mixed finishing and closes with Tudor’s T-fit rapid-adjustment clasp, which allows on-wrist fine adjustment without tools.

The MT5813 uses a bidirectional rotor and provides central hours and minutes, central chronograph seconds, a 45-minute counter at three o’clock, small seconds at nine, an instantaneous date at six, and stop-seconds hacking. Tudor lists the movement’s total diameter as 30.4 mm.

How large does it wear?
The nominal 41 mm diameter is only part of the fit. Fratello reports 14.4 mm thickness and a 50.1 mm lug-to-lug span. Those dimensions place it firmly in modern sports-chronograph territory, and the long tip-to-tip measurement matters more than the diameter on smaller wrists. The five-link bracelet and T-fit clasp provide adjustment, but wrist comfort and overhang remain individual questions; try the exact configuration if possible.
Price, launch date and limited-edition status
Launch prices were market-specific and should not be read as current universal prices. Tudor’s specification sheet listed CHF 5,450 including Swiss VAT. Hodinkee reported a US launch retail price of $5,875 and availability from January 17, 2025. Its launch report also said the watch was not a numbered limited edition. That statement does not guarantee current stock, continuing production, or unchanged pricing in 2026; availability and retail prices depend on country, date and dealer.

Flamingo Blue versus the standard blue Black Bay Chrono
The closest in-family comparison is reference 79360B. Both models share the 41 mm steel case, 200 m water resistance, MT5813 movement and approximately 70-hour reserve listed by Tudor. Their visual treatments differ substantially.
