The Anoma A1 Slate is a limited-run automatic wristwatch built around a rounded-triangular stainless-steel case and a dark, intricately finished dial. Fratello Watches reports a 39 mm case length, 9.5 mm thickness, 50 m water resistance and a Sellita SW100 movement. Anoma’s archive marks the Slate out of stock as of January 2026, so its launch price is historical—not a current offer.
What is the Anoma A1 Slate?
The A1 Slate is a watch from Anoma Watches, a design-led watch brand. Its defining feature is a lugless, pebble-like case shaped as a softened triangle, paired with a dark dial. Fratello describes the Slate as an evolution of the earlier A1: the case dimensions remained broadly familiar, while the dial and case machining received refinements. Fratello Watches’ review provides the hands-on observations and specifications discussed here.
How does the case and dial look?
Fratello describes a vertically brushed dial with engraved lanes and three layers of black lacquer. Depending on the light, the surface can appear black or deep gray. The upper dial logo was removed for the Slate, while leaf-shaped hands remain. The contrast between the sculptural case and layered dial finish is the watch’s central design idea.
How does the A1 Slate wear?
Fratello’s reviewer says the watch felt at home on a 17 cm wrist and that its lugless shape made it wear more like a 36 mm round watch. That is one reviewer’s fit observation, not a guarantee for every wrist. The reported case length is approximately 39 mm, but the absence of conventional lugs changes how that dimension translates to wrist presence.

The two reserve figures come from different parts of Fratello’s review, so it is more accurate to report the discrepancy than to present either number as definitive. The reported 18 mm width may help when searching for an accessory, but the available information does not establish the exact attachment design or confirm owner-swappable compatibility. Check both width and attachment before buying a replacement strap.
Is the Anoma A1 Slate sold out?
Yes, the available indications point to a sold-out limited release: Fratello reported that the 300-piece edition had sold out, and Anoma’s archive labels the A1 Slate “OUT OF STOCK — January 2026.” The archive’s status is time-sensitive; it does not establish whether authenticated pre-owned examples are currently available. Check Anoma’s archive for the brand’s listed status.

The Slate is most compelling for someone drawn to sculptural case design and a dark dial with more surface detail than a plain black face. Its listed functions are limited to hours and minutes, and its 50 m water resistance is a useful specification to note without treating it as a promise of suitability for every water activity. Since the edition is listed as out of stock, a buyer considering one will need to assess the individual seller, condition and provenance; no current resale listing or price is confirmed here.
