The HONOR Band 10 NFC launched in China for ¥299, roughly $40 at launch; the standard model was ¥249, about $34. That conversion is not a promised U.S. price, and the NFC edition’s transit and wallet functions are built around supported Chinese services. The Band 10 pairs a large AMOLED screen and extensive wellness tracking with a slim, lightweight design, but regional restrictions, uneven iPhone support and no listed built-in GPS matter more than the headline price for many buyers.
What launched, and what does “$40” mean?
HONOR introduced the Band 10 in China on April 23, 2025, in standard and NFC versions. The Chinese launch prices were ¥249 for the standard model and ¥299 for NFC—approximately $34 and $40 respectively at the time. Those are Chinese prices converted into dollars, not global or U.S. retail prices. HONOR’s China product page describes the device and editions; launch coverage reported the prices.
| Version or market | Price and availability | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| China standard | ¥249 at launch, roughly $34 | Does not mean NFC is included. |
| China NFC | ¥299 at launch, roughly $40 | NFC functions depend on Chinese-market services and supported configurations. |
| Selected international markets | HONOR lists regional product destinations including the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, UAE, Malaysia and Mexico. | Price, edition, warranty and feature set depend on the local market. Check the local HONOR listing before buying. |
| United States | Not listed in HONOR’s reviewed global country selector. | Do not assume official U.S. availability, warranty, NFC payments or full app compatibility. |
The global product selector is useful for checking listed regional destinations, but a listing alone does not establish that every version or feature is offered there. A UK review reported £44.99 after launch reductions, with discounts to £39.99, and described official U.S. availability as difficult; that is a historical retail signal, not a current price guarantee. TechRadar’s review was published in December 2025.
Design: a roomy screen in a slim band
The Band 10 has a 1.57-inch AMOLED display with a 256 × 402 resolution on the Chinese store listing, a refresh rate of up to 60Hz and an ambient-light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. HONOR lists a body thickness of about 8.99mm and weights of approximately 14.7g for the standard version and 15g for NFC, both without straps. The fit range is listed as 135–200mm; strap options include TPU and nylon, with a quick-release design. See HONOR’s UK product page and the Chinese store listing.

- Stunning AMOLED Display – The 1.85-inch high-resolution AMOLED screen delivers vibrant colors and sharp contrast, ensuring excellent visibility even under sunlight. With customizable watch faces, it blends style and functionality seamlessly for everyday wear.
- Bluetooth Calling – Sync the watch with your smartphone via Bluetooth to make or answer calls directly from your wrist. Manage frequent contacts through the companion app for seamless communication
- 14-Day Battery Life – Equipped with a 330mAh battery, it lasts up to 14 days under typical usage with 24/7 heart rate monitoring. Magnetic charging ensures quick and hassle-free weekly recharging

- 109+ Training Modes – Supports 109 exercise modes, including outdoor activities synchronized with smartphone GPS for route mapping and performance tracking
The larger screen gives notifications and on-band information more room than a narrow tracker display, while 60Hz can make scrolling and animations feel smoother. The slim, light body is practical for all-day wear and sleep tracking. Its polymer construction keeps weight down, but this remains a fitness band rather than a premium metal smartwatch.
What the NFC model can—and cannot—do
NFC is not shorthand for universal tap-to-pay. HONOR’s Chinese materials tie the NFC model to Honor Wallet and supported transit-card services in mainland China. Transit use depends on the exact NFC edition, a compatible phone, a mainland China HONOR account, the Honor Health app, supported card or city, and current device and app software. HONOR’s transit-card support information describes service and compatibility conditions.

A premium ceramic edition is also available for added elegance.
- Chinese transit access: Potentially useful where the specific card and city are supported and the account and phone requirements are met.
- Bank-card payments: Universal bank-card support is not established by the available HONOR information.
- U.S. contactless payments: No evidence here supports promising U.S. tap-to-pay.
- Door access and other uses: Launch coverage may mention these possibilities, but they should not be assumed to work outside a supported local implementation.
Before importing one for a particular NFC use, verify that the listing explicitly identifies the Chinese mainland NFC edition and that HONOR supports the exact service you intend to use. A generic NFC reader or payment terminal is not proof of compatibility.
What HONOR means by AI health features
The AI branding refers to algorithm-assisted health analysis and reports, not a general-purpose chatbot or smartwatch assistant. HONOR describes heart-health analysis and risk alerts, along with daily health summaries. Secondary launch coverage also described possible sleep-related analysis, including sleep-apnea indicators; that should be treated as a reported risk signal, not a confirmed diagnosis. HONOR’s China product page sets out the heart-health feature and its medical caveats.

The heart-health feature requires the separate HONOR Heart Health Research app, supports Android 9.0 or later and is not supported when paired with iOS, according to HONOR’s Chinese product information. Regional software or account availability may also affect access. HONOR says the device is not a medical device and its measurements are for reference, not diagnosis or treatment. Treat an alert as a reason to seek appropriate medical advice—not as proof of a condition or a substitute for clinical testing.
Fitness and wellness tracking, with a sports-watch caveat
HONOR lists 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen saturation (SpO₂), stress and sleep monitoring, menstrual-cycle tracking, daily health reports and heart-rate broadcast. Its exercise count is 96 modes: 11 professional modes and 85 additional or custom modes, with terminology varying slightly across HONOR listings. These features make the Band 10 a capable-looking everyday tracker on paper, but a mode count does not establish the accuracy or depth of every workout metric.

This MorePro fitness tracker for women and men also provides high heart rate alerts, helping you stay informed about everyday body changes throughout the day. (Not a medical device)

This fitness watch displays incoming call information, text messages, and notifications from Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and other supported apps right on your wrist—ideal for work, workouts, and everyday life.
- SMART FEATURES MADE FOR DAILY LIFE: More than an activity tracker, AIR2 includes sedentary reminders, drink water reminders, menstrual cycle tracking, weather updates, alarms, remote camera control, Find Phone, and more. Practical everyday tools help make your daily routine easier and more organized.
The reviewed official specifications do not list built-in GPS, and an independent review also identifies the omission. For outdoor route recording, assume you will need a connected phone unless the exact regional specification says otherwise. The Band 10 is better understood as a fitness band than as a standalone running or cycling watch. TechRadar’s review discusses its positioning and GPS omission.
Heart-rate and SpO₂ readings are wellness information, not clinical measurements. Fit, movement, skin contact, environment and usage can affect readings. The reviewed specifications do not establish clinical-grade ECG, blood-pressure measurement or medical certification.

Battery life: three different scenarios
The Chinese store lists a 180mAh battery and HONOR’s scenario-based estimates: up to 14 days under extended use, up to 10 days under regular use, and about 3.5 days with always-on display (AOD). HONOR’s UK page rounds the AOD figure to three days. These are test-condition claims, not guaranteed results; the same Chinese listing gives a theoretical charging time of about 60 minutes under its stated conditions, using the magnetic pogo-pin charging cradle. See the Chinese store listing and UK product page.
Actual endurance depends on settings and use, including AOD, notifications, screen wake frequency, brightness, workouts, sleep tracking and heart-rate or SpO₂ monitoring. If your Band 10 falls well short of the extended-use figure, check those features and settings before treating the battery as defective.
Android and iPhone compatibility
HONOR’s Chinese listing specifies Android 9.0 or later and iOS 13.0 or later, but basic pairing does not mean every feature is available on both platforms. Regional app support and the exact phone also matter.
| Function | Android | iPhone | Limit or condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic pairing and health tracking | Supported, Android 9.0+ | Supported, iOS 13.0+ | App and market support apply. |
| Music controls | Supported according to HONOR’s Chinese page | Not supported | Platform restriction. |
| Heart-health research feature | Supported on Android 9.0+ with the separate app | Not supported | May also depend on regional software or account availability. |
| Remote camera control | Limited | Not established | Requires a compatible HONOR phone running Magic UI 6.0 or later. |
| Chinese transit NFC | Supported in eligible configurations | Some support, with exclusions | Requires the Chinese mainland NFC edition and compatible account, app, phone and supported card or city. |
| U.S. contactless payments | Not verified | Not verified | Do not assume support. |
These limits are documented on HONOR’s China product page and its transit-card support page. If a health feature is missing, check whether you are using an iPhone, whether the Android version and required app are present, and whether the feature is available for your region and account.

- Consider it if you want a slim band with a large AMOLED display, broad everyday tracking and long claimed endurance, and can buy a version officially supported in your market.
- Consider the Chinese NFC edition only if you specifically use supported Chinese transit or Honor Wallet services and can meet their phone and account requirements.
- Think carefully if you use an iPhone: core pairing works, but music controls and the heart-health research feature are not available on iOS.
- Choose another kind of device if you need built-in GPS for routes, full smartwatch apps, verified local tap-to-pay, or medical-grade monitoring.
- Check import terms before buying from a third party: warranty, returns, replacement straps, firmware and app compatibility can depend on the sales region.
If NFC does not matter, compare locally supported budget bands—such as Xiaomi Smart Band 9 or another officially sold HONOR band—against the price and warranty available in your country. Their current local availability and pricing should be checked with the manufacturer or local retailer; the Chinese launch price alone is not a fair comparison.
