Its once-advertised 7,490 CHF base price excluded VAT, while the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) lists a Grey/Blue version at 8,335 CHF including VAT. Those are historical prices, not confirmed current pricing: Horage’s product page says “ORDER CLOSED,” and present availability and resale prices are unconfirmed. “Most accessible Swiss-made tourbillon” is best understood as historical positioning, not a current market-wide ranking.
How much did the Horage Tourbillon 1 cost?
Two historical figures appear in Horage and GPHG records, but they use different price bases:
| Listing | Price | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| Horage configurator | 7,490 CHF, excluding VAT and shipping | Historic base price; configuration options could change the total. Horage listed official COSC certification as an optional 300 CHF upgrade. Horage Tourbillon 1 |
| GPHG Grey/Blue entry | 8,335 CHF, including VAT | Historic listed price for that entry, not a like-for-like VAT-exclusive base price. The entry describes a March 2020 launch. GPHG Tourbillon 1 entry |
Neither figure establishes what the watch costs today. The optional COSC upgrade should not be mistaken for standard certification across all Tourbillon 1 watches.
Is the Horage Tourbillon 1 still available?
Horage’s Tourbillon 1 product page reports “ORDER CLOSED” and thanks customers who ordered. That indicates the listed order period has ended; it does not establish whether a particular retailer or private seller currently has one. Current inventory and resale prices are unconfirmed, so check directly with Horage or a seller before relying on availability.

Inspired by “Never-Melting Ice,” Agelocer's Swiss Chief Designer Etienne Ruffieux grand launch this full sapphire case free-sprung balance flying tourbillon watch, urging awareness of climate change. Honored with the 2022 German Design Award for its exceptional design, this tourbillon is globally limited to 100 pieces.
- The entire watch case is crafted from 5N (99.999%) high-purity sapphire crystal; 5N-grade sapphire crystal boasts a Mohs 9 hardness rating (second only to diamond) and exceptional transparency. Its superior hardness renders the case scratch and wear resistant, ensuring a flawless, long-lasting finish that stands the test of time. High transparency enables us to clearly appreciate the mechanical artistry of the ultimate skeletonized flying tourbillon.
- Self developed design CAL9001 free-sprung balance flying tourbillon movement, manual winding, 28,880 vibrations/hour, 25 ruby bearings. Satin brushed finish and chamfered edges with premium finishing techniques; Brand logo engraved and gold foiled. Dual mainspring series technology delivers 80-hour power reserve (twice that of standard tourbillon movements). This technology ensures more uniform and gradual mainspring release, resulting in enhanced timekeeping precision and stability.
- The CAL9001 tourbillon movement features the exclusive free-sprung micro-adjustment technology typically found only in luxury timepieces. What movement is inside?
The watch uses Horage’s manually wound K-TOU calibre. Horage lists 19 jewels, a silicon escapement, a single-barrel construction, a 3.5 Hz rate (25,200 beats per hour), and a tourbillon cage that completes one revolution every 60 seconds and also serves as the seconds indication. The brand describes the calibre as drawing on more than twelve years of its in-house movement development, but that history and the movement description are manufacturer statements rather than an independent inspection. Power-reserve figures differ
Horage’s product page states a reserve exceeding 120 hours. The GPHG entry gives 100 hours. These are conflicting published specifications, and the available information does not resolve the discrepancy; they should not be combined into a single figure. GPHG Tourbillon 1 entry
Accuracy and COSC status
Horage says its movements are adjusted to -4/+6 seconds per day. That is the brand’s stated adjustment target, not proof that each Tourbillon 1 was COSC-certified. Horage’s configurator and the GPHG entry describe COSC certification as an optional upgrade rather than a standard feature. Horage Tourbillon 1

Is it Swiss made?
Horage says the Tourbillon 1 movement represents more than 98% Swiss value, with two parts in the K2 and Tourbillon movements sourced outside Switzerland. The brand’s company history explains its interpretation of Swiss-made sourcing: at least 60% of production value Swiss, with the movement assembled, tested and regulated in Switzerland. These are Horage’s descriptions of its sourcing and the standard; the watch’s bill of materials has not been independently audited here. Horage Service Center Horage About Us

What the historic “most accessible” claim means
Horage introduced the Tourbillon 1 with a notably low quoted entry price for a Swiss tourbillon, but the evidence here supports describing that as the model’s historical positioning—not declaring it the most accessible Swiss-made tourbillon on sale today. The historic 7,490 CHF base price excluded VAT, the GPHG’s 8,335 CHF Grey/Blue listing included VAT, and orders are now reported closed on Horage’s page. A present-day ranking would require current prices and availability across a defined set of competing watches.
