The January 28, 2025 report that Malaysia’s SIRIM platform listed two Huawei Band 10 model numbers was an early regulatory signal—not confirmation of a worldwide launch date. The word “imminent” is now historical: Huawei Malaysia’s official terms say sales began on March 24, 2025. The available evidence establishes the Malaysian launch, but not a simultaneous global release.
What the Malaysian certification listing showed
Gizmochina reported on January 28, 2025, that SIRIM listings for Huawei identifiers NOR-B29 and NOR-B19 appeared under the “watch” category. The report also noted earlier listings for NOR-B29 on Indonesia’s SDPPI platform and with TÜV SÜD. Certification activity can indicate that a product is moving through regulatory processing in a particular market. It does not, by itself, establish a global launch, final specifications, or when sales will start. Gizmochina’s suggestion of an April or May 2025 debut was a forecast based on earlier timing, not an announced release date.
When did the Huawei Band 10 launch?
For Malaysia, Huawei’s official campaign terms set the Band 10 sales launch for March 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. GMT+8. The campaign ran through April 24, 2025. This is a documented Malaysian sales date, not evidence of the same date or availability in every country. Huawei Malaysia’s Band 10 page

The January headline’s “imminent” framing therefore describes the pre-launch moment, not the product’s current status. Current global stock and pricing are not established by the Malaysian launch terms.
Huawei Band 10 specifications confirmed by Huawei Malaysia
Huawei Malaysia lists a 1.47-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 194 × 368 resolution and 282 PPI. The listed sensors are a 9-axis IMU (accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer), an optical heart-rate sensor, and an ambient-light sensor. Case materials, colors and weight
The aluminum-alloy case is listed in Matte Black, White, Green, Blue and Purple, with an approximate case-only weight of 15 g. The durable-polymer case is listed in Black and Pink and weighs approximately 14 g, also excluding the strap. Both versions use fluoroelastomer straps. Color availability may depend on the market.
Battery life depends on the scenario
Huawei’s estimates are not a single guaranteed runtime: it gives a maximum of 14 days in a specified light-use laboratory scenario, up to 8 days under its typical-use scenario, and up to 3 days with the always-on display enabled. Water resistance and activity limits
Huawei rates the Band 10 at 5 ATM under ISO 22810:2010. The rating does not mean the band is suitable for use at 50 metres depth. Huawei says it can be used for shallow-water activities such as swimming in pools or along the coast, but excludes diving, hot showers, hot springs, saunas, deep water and fast-flowing water. The company also cautions that water resistance can decline with wear. Follow Huawei’s restrictions rather than treating 5 ATM as approval for every water activity.
