What is the Big Bang Unico 45 Sky Blue?
Introduced in 2020, the Sky Blue is a limited colorway in Hublot’s Big Bang Unico 45 line. Its defining combination is a large 45 mm case in light-blue ceramic with white accents, an openworked dial and the Unico flyback chronograph. Watchonista’s July 21, 2020 launch coverage and Chrono24’s model overview both report a production limit of 100 pieces.

How the flyback chronograph works
A flyback chronograph lets the wearer reset and restart a running chronograph with one press, rather than stopping it first and then resetting it. The function is useful for timing consecutive intervals. Watchonista identifies this edition’s movement as the MHUB1242 UNICO, a self-winding, column-wheel flyback chronograph. Caliber naming can vary across Big Bang Unico generations, so this designation should be understood as the one reported specifically for the Sky Blue launch, not generalized to every Unico model.
Launch price and present-day availability
Watchonista and Chrono24 report a U.S. launch list price of $21,500 in 2020. That figure is historical context only: it does not establish what an example should cost now. A July 2026 article by Gia Bảo likewise cautions against using the launch figure as a present-day valuation. Current asking prices can differ from completed-sale prices, and a defensible estimate would need recent sales data plus the watch’s condition, provenance and market geography.

The Sky Blue’s identity comes from the pairing of a vividly colored ceramic case with the exposed mechanics of the skeletonized dial, rather than from a different case size or a claim of improved performance. The 45 mm format, flyback function and limited 100-piece run are the clearest practical and collectible details to weigh. The available launch reporting does not establish comparative accuracy, comfort or value against competing watches.
