It is not a watch made entirely from sportswear: the composite is reinforced with quartz powder and glass veil, selected movement components use aluminum, and the watch runs Hublot’s Manufacture Unico chronograph. Hublot announced the 100-piece edition in Paris on November 20, 2024; the details below are the brand’s published specifications, not hands-on test results.
How Djokovic’s racquets and polos become part of the watch
Hublot says it incorporated fragments from 25 HEAD racquets and 32 Lacoste polos Djokovic used during the 2023 season. The polos comprised 17 dark blue and 15 light blue shirts. Hublot fused those fragments into epoxy resin reinforced with quartz powder and glass veil, forming the case and bezel. The resulting surface has a speckled blue-and-black camouflage appearance.
That construction makes the used sports gear part of a composite rather than the sole material of the watch. The crystal, movement, and other components are distinct materials and parts. Hublot’s launch account describes a lighter tempered Gorilla glass crystal in place of traditional sapphire; it does not make the crystal from racquet or polo material.
Hublot announced the model in Paris on November 20, 2024, with LVMH publishing a corroborating account on November 29. The model is the Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic, reference NR.DJO24. At launch, Djokovic described it as representing key moments from his 2023 season, which he called a landmark year in his career. Hublot says changing selected movement components from brass to aluminum reduced movement weight by 27%. That is the manufacturer’s stated figure, not an independently measured result. It applies to the movement-weight claim, not to a claim that the complete watch weighs 27% less than another model.

On Hublot’s figures, the elastic configuration is the lightest and the rubber configuration the heaviest of these four. The listed values describe the configurations as presented by Hublot, not a controlled comparison with other watches or straps.
Design details and launch presentation
Hublot adds a yellow second pusher, bezel screws whose curved shape the brand compares to a tennis ball, and Djokovic logos on both the second hand and the oscillating weight. The launch presentation included a sustainably sourced oak watch box, a Lacoste sports wristband, and a Lacoste polo signed by Djokovic. Those are launch-package details; a pre-owned listing should be checked for the actual box and accessories included with that individual watch.

Edition size and what is not established about availability
Hublot limited the Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic to 100 pieces. That is the announced edition size, not evidence of current stock. The launch announcement does not establish today’s retail price, boutique availability, resale supply, or the status of any online marketplace listing. Buyers considering a current listing should verify the reference, condition, seller, and included accessories directly; the published launch details alone cannot establish those particulars.
Hublot framed the project as sustainable innovation, but the material description by itself does not establish a lifecycle assessment or quantify the watch’s environmental impact. What the brand’s specifications do establish is the use of fragments from Djokovic’s 2023 racquets and polos in the case-and-bezel composite, alongside conventional watch components and a modified Unico chronograph.
