What makes the Moon Runner Supernova Blue distinctive?
Its time display replaces a conventional hour hand with a blue liquid travelling through a borosilicate capillary tube. The liquid indicates the hours along a retrograde scale; a central hand shows the minutes. The dial also displays the day of the month and month, with a three-dimensional moon phase adding another prominent element to the layered, space-themed design. The dial is black and blue anodized aluminium, set within a sandblasted grey and blue coated titanium case. A domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the display. The black rubber strap has blue microfibre embossed decoration and blue stitching, and closes with a black coated titanium pin buckle.
How large is it, and what are the specifications?
HYT’s current product page lists the case at 48.00 mm wide, 52.30 mm long and 21.80 mm thick, with water resistance of 50 metres. The width and length are substantial, and the listed thickness is especially important to consider when judging whether the watch will suit your wrist or fit beneath a cuff.

There is a material discrepancy in HYT’s own published specifications: the official press release lists thickness as 13.3 mm, rather than the current product page’s 21.80 mm. The product page is the current listing, but the difference is large enough that buyers should confirm the physical dimensions with HYT or a retailer before deciding. The press release also gives 41 rubies for the movement, while the current product page lists 43 jewels. HYT identifies the movement as calibre 601-MO, a manually wound mechanical movement with a stated 72-hour power reserve. The current product page lists 43 jewels; the earlier press release says 41 rubies. HYT’s press release names Eric Coudray as the calibre designer.
