Jaeger-LeCoultre’s The Collectibles is an ongoing program that selects, restores, documents and offers vintage watches from the Manufacture’s history in limited, dated capsules. It is not a single permanent collection with guaranteed stock: the fifth capsule featured eight 1930s Reversos in New York in February 2026, and the sixth presented 12 watches in London beginning June 15, 2026. Those announcements describe past releases, not what is available now.
What is Jaeger-LeCoultre The Collectibles?
Introduced in 2023 in connection with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 190th anniversary, The Collectibles is the Manufacture’s in-house program for selecting, restoring and offering notable vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre watches. The brand frames the watches as significant examples of its own history and of 20th-century watchmaking. Releases are organized as capsules rather than as a fixed range with permanent inventory. How does Jaeger-LeCoultre select and restore the watches?
The Manufacture says its Heritage experts and Restoration Workshop assess candidates for originality, condition, mechanical integrity, documented history, rarity and historical significance. Restoration is carried out by the Manufacture’s workshop, which services movements and hand-rebuilds parts, using historical components where available. Jaeger-LeCoultre says the aim is to preserve each watch’s original character and patina while returning it to sound working order. What comes with a Collectibles watch?
- Jaeger-LeCoultre says each watch is accompanied by an extract from its archives and a complimentary copy of The Collectibles book.
- A new handmade leather strap is supplied unless the watch has an integrated metal bracelet.

The book is presented by Jaeger-LeCoultre as a guide to its vintage watches. The brand’s history page says it documents more than 160 archival documents, 44 calibres, over 100 references and 237 dials. Those figures describe the book’s documented scope, not the number of watches for sale or currently in stock; the page reviewed does not state the book’s publication year. What were the fifth and sixth capsules?
The fifth capsule was an eight-watch selection of rare Reversos from the 1930s. Jaeger-LeCoultre presented it at its New York flagship from February 5 to 23, 2026, and announced that the watches would be offered worldwide through its own channel beginning February 5. The sixth capsule comprised 12 timepieces: seven Reversos spanning 1931 to 2003, alongside five other emblematic mid-20th-century models. The brand announced a London flagship unveiling on June 15, 2026, with a public presentation through July 18. Reverso history in the capsules
Introduced in 1931, the Reverso was originally designed to protect its dial from the shocks of polo. Jaeger-LeCoultre describes its subsequent evolution as that of an Art Deco icon. Among the sixth capsule’s watches was a 1938 Reverso Central Seconds, later nicknamed the Doctor’s Reverso: its central seconds hand and five-second markers were intended to make pulse measurement easier to read. How did earlier Collectibles capsules develop?
The program’s first collection was presented in the Vallée de Joux and the second in Los Angeles, according to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s retrospective. The third capsule, consisting of ten watches, was presented in Singapore in October 2024. The fourth focused on the Manufacture’s women’s-watch heritage and was presented in Paris in June and July 2025. What should you check when considering a specific watch?
Capsule announcements alone cannot establish whether a particular watch is currently for sale, what it costs or whether it can be purchased in a given region. Confirm those details directly with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s current official listing or a boutique. For an individual watch, compare the factors the Manufacture itself identifies, and ask which original accessories are present rather than assuming they were retained.
