Rado has released the Captain Cook x Cameron Green Limited Edition, a 459-piece watch that uses cricket imagery throughout: a pitch-green dial, three gold-coloured markers that echo stumps, and red accents taken from the ball. Rado announced it on 8 October 2026 as a collaboration with Australian Test cricketer and Rado Global Ambassador Cameron Green. The announcement gives full technical specifications, but it does not state a price, a reference number, or when and where the watch will be sold.

What Rado announced

The edition is built on the Captain Cook, Rado’s square-cased sports model, and adapts it with cricket references that Rado presents as personal to Green. The limit of 459 pieces is tied to his career: according to Rado, it marks Green as the 459th male player to represent Australia in Test cricket. That link comes from Rado’s own release. It is the brand’s account of the number, not an independently checked biographical fact.

Rado’s press-room release, dated 8 October 2026, is the only primary source for these details. It is the place to confirm any future change to specifications, pricing or availability.

Design: how the cricket references appear on the watch

The green dial

The dial uses a green gradient with a sunray finish. Rado says the gradient is meant to recall a cricket pitch seen from above. Because the sunray pattern catches light across the surface, the colour shifts subtly as the angle changes, which is the effect the brand is aiming for.

Stumps and the ball

Three yellow gold-coloured dots sit at 12 o’clock. Rado describes them as wicket stumps. Red details on the backdrop of the moving anchor motif and on the second hand refer to a traditional cricket ball. These are the only colour accents on the dial, so the red and gold stay minimal against the green.

The bezel and case

The case is 42 mm in polished stainless steel. The rotating bezel is yellow gold-coloured PVD-coated, and its polished green high-tech ceramic insert continues the pitch colour. A box-shaped sapphire crystal sits over the dial. The screw-down case back is engraved with Green’s signature and the words “LIMITED EDITION, ONE OUT OF 459.”

Movement and technical specifications

Cameron Green’s role in the watch

Green is credited as the collaborator behind the cricket references. In Rado’s release he said: “Cricket has shaped who I am, both as an athlete and as a person. Working with Rado on this project gave me the opportunity to bring elements of the game I love into a watch that feels personal and authentic. Every detail has a connection to my journey, and I am proud to share that story with fellow cricket fans and watch enthusiasts through this timepiece.”

The campaign line Rado uses for the launch is “My game, my time.”

What is not yet confirmed

Rado’s announcement leaves three practical questions open. It does not state a price, so buyers cannot compare it against other Captain Cook references on cost. It does not give a reference number, which is the identifier retailers and secondary-market listings normally use to confirm a specific model. And it does not say which markets or retailers will carry the edition. Until Rado publishes those details, any listing that quotes a price, stock level or reference number should be checked against Rado’s official channels before purchase.

When the price and reference are published, compare them against the case size, movement, power reserve, water resistance, and included straps in the table above, since those are the specifications that define what the edition offers.

In short, the edition is well documented on the design and technical side, and the commercial side is still open.

How to check the details when you are ready to buy

  1. Open Rado’s press-room release at press.rado.com/taxonomy/term/11934 and confirm the 459-piece limit and the specifications listed above.
  2. Go to Rado’s official product pages and look for the listing for the Captain Cook x Cameron Green Limited Edition. Confirm the reference number and price there.
  3. Compare the reference number on any retailer or resale listing with the one on Rado’s official page. A mismatch means the listing may refer to a different model.
  4. Check the case back engraving, “LIMITED EDITION, ONE OUT OF 459,” on the watch itself when it arrives, and confirm that the included straps are present.

A watch sold as a numbered limited edition should carry that engraving; if it does not, treat the listing as unverified.
