The Baltic MR Roulette is a 2024 version of the brand’s MR micro-rotor dress watch, distinguished by a segmented dial and an off-center small-seconds register. It combines a 36 mm stainless-steel case with an automatic Hangzhou CAL5000a micro-rotor movement. Here’s what the launch reports establish about its design, specifications and price—and what they do not establish about current availability.
What makes the MR Roulette different?
The “MR” in Baltic’s collection name refers to the watch’s micro-rotor movement. The Roulette is a dial variant of that compact dress-watch line, not a separate movement family. Its defining feature is a segmented, roulette-style layout: contrasting tracks and textures give the dial a layered look, with the small-seconds display placed off-center.
Launch coverage described four dial colors: black, blue, salmon and silver. According to Fratello’s July 2024 report, the black and blue versions have glossy central surfaces, while the salmon and silver versions use grained surfaces. The time-telling tracks are brushed. The combination creates visual depth, though the segmented design is also a more assertive look than a plain, conventional dress-watch dial. Fratello’s launch report discusses the finishes in detail.
Case, dimensions and wearing details
Both 2024 reports give the case diameter as 36 mm, with stainless steel construction and 30 m water resistance. They differ slightly on thickness: Hodinkee lists 9.8 mm, while Fratello gives 9.9 mm, explicitly including the highly domed Hesalite crystal. Fratello lists a 44 mm lug-to-lug measurement and a 20 mm strap width; Hodinkee also reports a 44 mm lug-to-lug length.

The watch was reported with a leather strap or metal bracelet options. Fratello specifically names flat-link and beads-of-rice bracelet styles. Hodinkee’s specification listing says the watch has no lume, a practical consideration if you expect to read the time in darkness. The modest water-resistance rating is suited to ordinary splashes, not swimming or diving.
Movement and the reported rotor sound
The reported movement is the automatic Hangzhou CAL5000a micro-rotor, displaying hours, minutes and small seconds. Both launch reports state a 42-hour power reserve; Fratello additionally specifies a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Those are the published specifications in the July 2024 coverage, not independent test results.

Both reviewers mention audible rotor movement, but their observations should be read as reviewer experience rather than evidence of a quantified defect. Fratello’s Daan de Groot noted sound on the Roulette and framed it in the context of the watch’s price. Hodinkee’s Mark Kauzlarich described a rattly, loose-feeling rotor on his MR-01 example and others—not a reported test of every Roulette. Neither account establishes how common the sound is across MR Roulette units or whether it indicates a reliability problem. Hodinkee’s report provides Kauzlarich’s context, while Fratello’s review covers its observation of the Roulette.
Launch configurations and historical prices
The launch reports agree on a €605 price for bracelet options but conflict on the leather-strap version. These are historical launch figures reported in July 2024, not verified current prices.

The difference in the leather figure is unresolved in the two reports, so neither should be presented as a definitive price. The published launch coverage also does not confirm current inventory or what Baltic now charges. A February 2026 Fratello report calls the Roulette a 2024 variant while discussing a forthcoming MR update, but does not verify whether the Roulette remains in stock. That 2026 report is not a current-stock listing.

The Roulette’s strongest appeal is its combination of compact proportions, a traditional small-seconds display and an unusually textured dial. The four reported colors and the leather or bracelet choices offer different ways to wear the same core design. Before considering one, compare its 36 mm diameter and 44 mm lug-to-lug with a watch that fits you well; the domed crystal is part of why the reported thickness differs slightly by source.

The launch reviews establish the Roulette’s reported specifications, but they do not provide a controlled comparison with a particular competing model.
