What makes the Blue Panda distinctive?
The defining feature is its high-contrast white-and-blue dial. The white surface has a circular-brushed finish, while recessed blue counters at 3 and 9 o’clock have snailed interiors. A blue flange carries the minute-and-seconds scale, and a lacquered bright-red central chronograph seconds hand provides a sharp accent. At 6 o’clock, the one-minute tourbillon is framed by an openworked three-spoke bridge. Monochrome Watches’ 22 July 2024 report describes this as a new colorway in the 42 mm Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon family, alongside blue and teal-green dial versions.

Faceted, applied rhodium-plated indices and hands mark the hours; the report notes limited Super-LumiNova on the hands and small dots above the indices. The two chronograph registers are not interchangeable: the counter at 3 o’clock records 30 minutes, while the one at 9 o’clock records 12 hours.
Case, dimensions, and strap
The case is stainless steel with brushed and polished surfaces, angular lugs, and piston-style chronograph pushers. A domed sapphire crystal extends over the bezel in the Carrera glassbox style, and the sapphire caseback reveals the movement. Monochrome reported a diameter of 42 mm, thickness of 14.3 mm, and water resistance to 100 metres.

At launch, the watch was shown on a blue perforated rally-style leather strap with a steel folding clasp. The report does not state the strap width or establish compatibility with replacement straps.
TH20-09 movement and functions
Inside is TAG Heuer’s TH20-09, an automatic column-wheel chronograph movement with a one-minute tourbillon. The reported specifications are a 4 Hz frequency (28,800 vibrations per hour), COSC chronometer certification, and a 65-hour power reserve. Its functions are hours, minutes, chronograph timing, and the tourbillon.

A tourbillon places the escapement in a rotating cage. Its traditional design purpose is to counter gravity’s influence on rate; that purpose should not be read as a guarantee that a tourbillon watch will be more accurate in everyday wear. Carrera-family press-release material reproduced by La Cote des Montres also describes the TH20-09 as chronometer-certified and gives the same 65-hour reserve.
Edition size and 2024 launch price
Monochrome reported that CBS5013.EB0375 was limited to 50 pieces and priced at EUR 25,200 when introduced in 2024. These figures describe the launch report; they do not establish a current asking price, current stock, or present availability. No current official product page or retailer inventory is established by the cited material.

Where it fits in the Carrera Tourbillon family
The Blue Panda belongs to the more compact 42 mm glassbox generation, with a closed dial and the tourbillon aperture at 6 o’clock. Monochrome places this format in the wake of the Carrera chronograph redesign for the collection’s 2023 anniversary. It contrasts with the earlier 45 mm Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon released in 2016, which used the Heuer 02T movement; the later family uses the TH20-09. The available comparison establishes a change in case format and movement designation, not a measured improvement in accuracy.
The Carrera name has a motorsport origin: manufacturer-derived background reproduced by La Cote des Montres says Jack Heuer heard about the Carrera Panamericana at the 12 Hours of Sebring. That history belongs to the broader Carrera identity; it does not demonstrate a specific motorsport connection for this limited Blue Panda edition.
