Introducing the Bremont Altitude Collection: The Trip-Tick Case Returns

Bremont launched the Altitude family in 2025 with the MB Meteor, 39 Date, and Chronograph GMT. Here’s how the redesigned Trip-Tick case and three original models compare with today’s expanded catalogue.

Bremont introduced the Altitude family in April 2025 with three pilot watches: the titanium MB Meteor, the steel 39 Date, and the steel Chronograph GMT. Their redesigned Trip-Tick cases bring a streamlined take on the brand’s three-part case architecture. Bremont’s current catalogue has since grown beyond those original three models, so the launch lineup and today’s collection are not the same.

What is Bremont’s Trip-Tick case?

Trip-Tick is Bremont’s three-part case construction, built around a central barrel. The Altitude launch brought the architecture back into this particular new family in a revised form; that does not mean the design had disappeared from Bremont’s wider range.

In its 1 April 2025 launch report, Monochrome Watches described the new case as more streamlined, with adjusted proportions and detailing. Changes included a reworked knurled barrel, an angled concave bezel, a glassbox sapphire crystal, and revised double crowns. On the MB Meteor, one crown operates the inner bidirectional Roto-Click bezel. Monochrome’s launch report is the source for these design details.

How the aviation heritage fits

The MB name refers to Bremont’s Martin-Baker association. Monochrome reports that Martin-Baker challenged Bremont in 2007 to develop a pilot’s watch for the forces associated with ejection seats. Its account describes testing of the historical MB1, including forces exceeding 20 Gs, temperatures from -40°C to +40°C, vibration, salt fog, humidity, and simulated rapid descent from 100,000 feet. Those are reported MB1 test conditions, not evidence that every Altitude model underwent the same trials.

What watches were in the original Bremont Altitude launch?

The April 2025 launch comprised three distinct configurations. The specifications and euro prices below are those reported by Monochrome Watches on 1 April 2025; they are launch figures, not guarantees of current availability or pricing.

Altitude Chronograph GMT 42 mm 904L steel; 14.7 mm thick; 49.62 mm lug-to-lug Chronograph and 24-hour GMT indication Automatic BC781-AC on a Sellita base; 62 hours 100 m €6,600 on strap; €6,900 on bracelet

How do the MB Meteor, 39 Date, and Chronograph GMT differ?

MB Meteor: titanium with an adjustable inner bezel

The MB Meteor is the launch lineup’s titanium option. Its 42 mm case has two crowns, with the second used for the inner bidirectional Roto-Click bezel. Choose it if that bezel arrangement and titanium construction are more important to you than a smaller case or added chronograph functions.

39 Date: the smaller, simpler choice

The 39 Date reduces the case diameter to 39 mm and uses a single crown. It keeps the time-and-date brief straightforward, in a 904L steel case. Its reported 47.17 mm lug-to-lug measurement is useful to consider alongside diameter when judging fit.

Chronograph GMT: two additional timing functions

The Chronograph GMT is also 42 mm, but in 904L steel, and combines chronograph operation with a 24-hour GMT indication. It is the thickest of the three launch models at a reported 14.7 mm and has the shortest stated reserve in the original lineup, at 62 hours.

What is in the Altitude collection today?

Bremont’s live Altitude catalogue, accessed 5 October 2026, lists more than the three watches introduced in 2025. Its visible range includes MB Meteor variants, 39 Date variants, Chronograph GMT configurations, the Chronograph Pulsograph Valjoux 23, and Perpetual Calendar GMT variants. The current catalogue also shows GBP prices that differ by model and configuration; these are liable to change and should be checked on the relevant product listing before buying. See Bremont’s current Altitude collection for live models and displayed pricing.

Keep the distinction clear when comparing reviews or listings: “the original launch” means the MB Meteor, 39 Date, and Chronograph GMT as reported in April 2025; “the current collection” includes later or additional variants shown in Bremont’s catalogue.
