The Citizen NJ0180 is the Zenshin Mechanical Super Titanium automatic small-seconds family: a 40.5 mm watch with an integrated titanium bracelet, sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, date display and an off-centre seconds sub-dial. Its caliber 8213 is an automatic mechanical movement with approximately 40 hours of power reserve in Citizen Singapore’s specification. The main choice is the dial and regional reference—not a different case or movement.
What the NJ0180 series is
The NJ0180 belongs to Citizen’s Zenshin line and uses the company’s proprietary Super Titanium case and bracelet. The design combines a textured dial with luminous hands and markers, a date window at 3 o’clock and a small-seconds sub-dial positioned away from the center. The integrated bracelet gives the watch a continuous case-to-bracelet profile rather than conventional separate lugs.

Citizen describes Super Titanium as “five times harder and 40% lighter than stainless steel and is scratch- and rust-resistant.” That is Citizen’s material description, not a guarantee that the watch cannot be marked or damaged. The crystal is sapphire, chosen for scratch resistance, and the watch is rated to 100 m (WR100, 10 bar or 333 ft) on the Canadian product pages.

NJ0180-80A, 80L, 80M and other references
The documented references share the same basic architecture: 40.5 mm case, Super Titanium bracelet, sapphire crystal, caliber 8213, date, small seconds and 100 m water resistance. Reference numbers primarily identify dial color and the market in which the watch is listed.
| Reference | Dial description | Availability and price notes |
|---|---|---|
| NJ0180-80A | White | Citizen Watch Canada lists CA$895; local stock and warranty terms apply. |
| NJ0180-80L | Blue | Citizen Watch Canada lists CA$895; local stock and warranty terms apply. |
| NJ0180-80M | Light blue/green; naming varies by regional page | Check the specific country listing for price and stock. |

If you are searching for a Citizen NJ0180-80A automatic watch, confirm that the seller’s reference, dial photographs, warranty and return policy match the Canadian or other regional model you intend to buy. A color name such as “green” or “light blue” is not used consistently across every Citizen site.
How caliber 8213 works in daily ownership
Caliber 8213 is mechanical and automatic, so it does not use a battery. Wearing the watch winds its mainspring through wrist motion; it can also be wound or set according to the instructions supplied with the specific watch. When fully wound, Citizen’s Singapore specification gives approximately 40 hours of running time, after which an unworn watch can stop and require resetting.

Small seconds and the date
The seconds hand runs in its own off-centre sub-dial, leaving the central hands to show hours and minutes. The date sits at 3 o’clock. As with any mechanical watch with a date, avoid changing the date during the movement’s date-change period; use the supplied manual for the safe setting window and crown positions.
Clasp and bracelet
The bracelet closes with a fold-over clasp and push button. In a hands-on observation, Fratello described a reassuring closing click and a double-push-button release. That is a reviewer’s tactile observation, not a laboratory durability test.
Accuracy: what Citizen does and does not publish
The Citizen product pages reviewed identify the 8213 movement and its power reserve but do not state a model-specific accuracy tolerance for the NJ0180. It would therefore be misleading to promise a particular seconds-per-day result.

It is a strong fit for someone who wants a relatively light integrated-bracelet mechanical watch with sapphire protection, a distinctive small-seconds layout and everyday water resistance. Super Titanium addresses the weight and corrosion concerns that lead some buyers away from steel, while the 40.5 mm diameter keeps the design in a broadly wearable modern size.
There are trade-offs. The integrated bracelet limits strap experimentation compared with a conventional lugged case, and the mechanical 8213 requires acceptance of variable rate performance and periodic servicing. The approximately 40-hour reserve is practical for daily wear but is not a multi-day reserve: leaving the watch off for a weekend can stop it.
How to choose and buy one
- Choose the dial first. Select 80A for white, 80L for blue, or the regional 80M, 80H or 80X option whose color and reference are confirmed in the local listing.
- Check the country-specific specification. Confirm dimensions, stated weight, water-resistance wording and included warranty because Citizen publishes some details by market.
- Verify authorized status. Use Citizen’s regional store or an authorized retailer when warranty coverage and after-sales service matter.
- Confirm live stock and seller identity. Marketplace availability changes; check the exact reference, seller name, return terms and regional warranty before paying. A live Amazon offer was not established in the available listings.
- Compare the delivered price. Canadian official listings show CA$895 for both 80A and 80L at the time of the cited listings; taxes, shipping, promotions and other countries can change the final amount.
Care and service considerations
- Rinse and dry the case and bracelet after exposure to salt or chlorinated water, even though Super Titanium is designed to resist rust.
- Use the crown correctly and keep it fully secured before water exposure.
- Have accuracy concerns assessed by Citizen service; do not regulate the movement based solely on a short observation or a generic 8213 claim.
- Keep the warranty card, receipt and reference number, particularly when buying outside your home market.
Bottom line
The NJ0180 series delivers Citizen’s Zenshin Super Titanium concept in a clear mechanical format: integrated titanium construction, sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, a date and small seconds, powered by the automatic 8213. Buy by reference and region, because dial names, weights, prices and stock vary, and judge accuracy by the individual watch and professional service rather than an invented universal tolerance.
