Both pair a titanium case and bezel with a grey sunray dial and a grey rubber-and-fabric strap; their principal technical distinction is the self-winding calibre inside each size.
What is Essential Grey Volume III?
Hublot introduced Volume III on 25 June 2024 as the third chapter of its Essential Grey series. The release applies a monochrome grey treatment to two sizes of the Classic Fusion. Hublot described Essential Grey as a recurring annual series and said the watches were online exclusive at launch. That launch description does not establish current stock or purchasing options in every market.
The design is deliberately restrained: titanium cases and bezels, sunray-finished grey dials, and grey straps combining rubber and fabric. Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe called Essential Grey an eagerly awaited recurring series and described it as intended to remain distinctive year after year; that is his promotional view, not independent evidence of collector demand. Hublot says the two sizes use different calibres adapted to their respective cases. Diameter is a useful starting point for choosing the model’s wrist presence, but it cannot establish fit on an individual wrist. Compare the case dimensions and, where possible, try the watch on.

Movement and power-reserve figures
The 42 mm reference uses Hublot’s HUB1110 self-winding movement, while the 45 mm reference uses HUB1112. There is a discrepancy in Hublot’s published reserve figures: the 2024 launch article states a guaranteed power reserve of 42 hours for each model, while the current official US product pages list approximately 48 hours for both. The figures are attributed to different Hublot sources and should not be treated as a single reconciled specification.

Dial, strap, and other listed details
Shared grey treatment
Both official product listings describe a grey sunray dial and a grey strap made from rubber and fabric. The titanium case and bezel are described as satin-finished and polished. Together, those details keep the palette tonal rather than adding a contrasting accent color.
45 mm listing details
Hublot’s 45 mm page specifies a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and a stainless-steel deployant buckle, in addition to the grey strap and dial.

Price, availability, and warranty
There is no single global price or live-stock status established for these watches: Hublot localizes suggested retail prices, and purchase or delivery details depend on market and availability. Check the relevant regional product page or a verified authorized retailer for current pricing and stock rather than relying on a price from another region or date.
Hublot’s current US pages state that watches purchased from 1 January 2026 benefit from a five-year international warranty and describe the possibility of an additional five years through Hublotista, subject to conditions. Warranty terms and eligibility can vary; confirm the current terms for the market and the specific watch before treating coverage as guaranteed.
