The MB&F LM Sequential Flyback EVO pairs two independently operated chronographs with flyback on both, all in one manually wound movement. Its Twinverter switch changes the start/stop state of both chronographs at once, enabling timing handoffs such as sequential laps. The 2026 EVO version puts the mechanism in a 44 mm grade 5 titanium case with an inclined time display and an 80 m water-resistance rating.
What makes the LM Sequential Flyback EVO different?
Introduced in 2026, the Flyback EVO develops the dual-chronograph concept of the earlier LM Sequential EVO by adding flyback to both chronographs and using MB&F’s EVO case treatment. The movement was conceived and developed for MB&F by Stephen McDonnell. It is manually wound and fully integrated, rather than two separate watches or a conventional chronograph with an extra timing register.
The distinction from the earlier model matters: MB&F says the original LM Sequential EVO launched in 2022 and won that year’s GPHG Aiguille d’Or. That award belongs to the earlier LM Sequential EVO, not the 2026 Flyback EVO. MB&F’s product page presents the Flyback EVO as the EVO expression of the Sequential Flyback.
How the two chronographs and Twinverter work
Each chronograph can be started, stopped and reset independently. The Twinverter is a shared start/stop-state switch: it reverses the current state of both chronographs, rather than measuring time itself. MB&F’s operating manual describes the resulting combinations:

- If both chronographs are stopped, pressing the Twinverter starts both.
- If one is running and the other is stopped, pressing the Twinverter stops the running one and starts the stopped one. That handoff can be used for sequential lap timing.
Flyback is available on each chronograph. While one is running, pressing its reset/flyback pusher declutches, resets and immediately restarts it in a single action. This avoids stopping, resetting and restarting it with separate presses.

The Twinverter is at 9 o’clock. The power-reserve indicator is on the back of the movement. Monochrome Watches identifies the counters as 60-second and 30-minute registers, respectively, and describes lumed hands on the aquamarine dial. Its January 20, 2026 launch report also shows the dial layout.

What the EVO case and movement specifications tell you
MB&F specifies a grade 5 titanium case measuring 44 mm in diameter and 18.2 mm high, with water resistance rated to 80 m / 8 ATM. The screw-down crown and FlexRing annular dampener are part of the EVO construction; MB&F says the FlexRing sits between the case and movement to provide shock protection on vertical and lateral axes. The time display at 6 o’clock is inclined toward the wearer. MB&F says the tilted display is drawn from the more classic LM Sequential design and is intended to improve legibility.

These figures come from MB&F’s official specifications. The brand also lists a sapphire crystal over the dial and a display back, with anti-reflective coating on both faces. The dial is aquamarine with four black chronograph rings. The integrated strap is rubber; Monochrome specifies a white rubber strap and titanium folding buckle.

MB&F describes a flying balance wheel with regulating screws and a Breguet overcoil. Listed hand-finishing details include internal bevel angles, polished bevels, Geneva waves, handmade engravings and darkened bridges with NAC finish.
Reported launch price and what it does—and does not—establish
Monochrome Watches reported launch prices of CHF 168,000, EUR 181,000 and USD 230,000, excluding tax, in its January 20, 2026 article. Time and Watches reported the same figures on January 21, 2026, also excluding sales taxes. Operating precautions in MB&F’s manual
MB&F’s manual instructs owners to unscrew the crown before winding or setting the time, then screw it back in after setting to guarantee water resistance. It warns that chronograph mechanisms can be damaged easily, advises against using excessive force on pushers, and says to operate them with fingers rather than tools. These are the manufacturer’s instructions, not a substitute for service guidance from an authorized watchmaker.
