The MING 37.09 Bluefin is a 600 m dive watch built around an unusual timing control: instead of turning an external bezel, a sealed crown at 4 o’clock rotates the sapphire dial beneath the crystal. MING’s archive now lists the Bluefin as sold out, with deliveries complete, and says it will not be produced again.
How the Bluefin’s rotating timing dial works
The Bluefin does not use a conventional rotating dive bezel. Its elapsed-time scale is formed on a sapphire dial that turns in one direction through 60 clicks, using a mechanism secured by sprung bearings. A sealed crown at 4 o’clock operates the dial. MING says the crown neither pulls out nor screws down, and that it can be operated underwater. MING’s product archive describes the mechanism and operating arrangement.
This puts the timing scale inside the watch’s crystal rather than on a rotating outer ring. MING describes the dial as using a deep-blue metallization process, with extensive Super-LumiNova X1 markings and hands; the indices are on the underside of the top crystal. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent performance measurements.

Original price and production
MING announced the Bluefin at CHF 4,950 and said 500 watches would be produced for 2024. Orders were scheduled to open at 1 PM GMT on May 24, 2024, with deliveries expected to begin in October 2024. These are original launch details, not a current retail offer or an indication of today’s resale value.
Is the MING Bluefin still available?
No longer from MING, according to the manufacturer’s current product archive: it says the watch is sold out, deliveries are complete, and it will not be produced again. That statement does not establish whether a secondary-market example is available or what it costs. Anyone considering a listing should independently verify whether the watch is unworn or pre-owned, its condition, completeness and seller.

Strap fit and replacement options
The supplied strap is molded FKM rubber and has a 20 mm fit at the lugs. MING says it was made to fit its other watches using 20 mm lugs, and describes the Bluefin strap as keeperless, tapered and shaped with curved bars. The 2024 launch announcement said the strap would also be offered separately, but MING’s archive does not establish that a standalone strap is currently in stock.
A replacement marked “20 mm” is not automatically a fit: confirm that its attachment and bar geometry work with the Bluefin’s curved-bar arrangement. If considering MING’s own strap, check current supply directly rather than assuming the original accessory remains available.
