Its hand-wound Calibre 115 is specified for ten days of power, and its open construction puts the mainspring and much of the mechanism on display. A non-linear reserve indicator shows how much power remains on a changing scale.
What is the Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115?
It is a design-led member of Oris’s Big Crown ProPilot family, introduced in 2019 with an unusually exposed movement. The “X” signals an experimental, forward-looking design; the Big Crown ProPilot name connects it to Oris’s aviation vocabulary. The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry also linked the watch’s design inspiration to the nature, architecture and aviation of the Waldenburg Valley around Hölstein, where Oris is based. That context is about design and heritage, not evidence that this model is a functional aviation instrument. The Federation’s September 5, 2019 report describes Calibre 115 as Oris’s first skeleton movement.
Is the Oris Calibre 115 hand-wound, and how long is its power reserve?
Yes. Calibre 115 is manually wound and has a stated reserve of ten days, or 240 hours. The Federation’s launch report calls this “ten-day autonomy”; Hodinkee’s specification lists 240 hours. These are published model specifications, not independent timing or reserve measurements. Hodinkee’s launch coverage describes the non-linear indicator as giving more visual travel to the lower-reserve part of the scale, when the remaining power is more consequential to the wearer.
What the open movement reveals
The skeleton architecture makes the movement part of the watch’s visual design rather than concealing it behind a conventional dial. A barrel at 12 o’clock exposes the mainspring, so winding the watch also makes the spring’s operation visible. The Federation reports that the movement edges were left in their natural state rather than sharpened or bevelled. A small-seconds display and the reserve indicator provide the other key readings.

Which bracelet and strap configurations were offered?
Launch coverage documented a multi-piece titanium bracelet with a lift clasp and a black leather strap with a titanium clasp. Hodinkee lists reference 115 7759 7153 7 22 01 TLC. These are documented launch configurations, not confirmation of current stock or replacement-part compatibility. Hodinkee also reports that the bracelet can be replaced with a 22 mm NATO or strap; fit for any particular strap, end fitting or adapter should be checked against the exact watch reference.
