The Urwerk UR-101 T-Rex is a 100-piece limited edition that pairs the UR-101’s wandering-hours display with a hand-painted guilloché bronze case. Two hour satellites move across an arced 180-degree minute scale; the launch price was CHF 38,000 excluding tax, while retailer listings show different market-specific prices.
How to read the UR-101 T-Rex display
Instead of conventional hands rotating around a central dial, the UR-101 T-Rex uses two hour satellites. As a satellite travels along the curved minute scale, its hour indication aligns with the minutes shown on that arc. The result is a wandering-hours display covering 180 degrees of the dial. URWERK describes this two-satellite layout as a defining feature of the UR-101 family.
The hour and minute markers are painted with Super-LumiNova. The display is the functional focus of the watch, set against a case whose pronounced texture gives the T-Rex its name.
What makes the T-Rex edition distinctive?
The case is bronze with a hand-painted guilloché finish, producing a sculpted, textured exterior. It measures 41 mm across and is 11.86 mm thick at its highest point, according to the dedicated T-Rex technical sheet. The caseback is steel coated in black PVD, and the watch uses a glare-proofed, metallised sapphire crystal.

Movement and specifications
The T-Rex uses URWERK’s self-winding UR-1.01V calibre. Its stated power reserve is 48 hours, and it runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), with 28 jewels.

How much does the UR-101 T-Rex cost?
URWERK’s published launch price was CHF 38,000 excluding tax. Monochrome Watches reported the same launch price in its story dated 19 March 2025. Retailer pages show different suggested retail prices for their respective markets: The Hour Glass Singapore lists SGD 66,000, and its Malaysia site lists MYR 200,000. Both retailer pages describe their prices as tax-inclusive and subject to change.

The T-Rex brings the UR-101’s two-satellite wandering-hours format into a bronze case treatment. URWERK’s current UR-101 family page also shows other variations, including Diamond Sky.
