1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesYes—if you can buy the Garmin Venu 3 at a meaningful discount and its feature set meets your needs. The $349.99 Best Buy deal reported on January 29, 2026, was a dated offer, not a price to assume is still available. Best Buy’s listing showed $388.99 when accessed for this article; check the checkout price and compare it with the Venu 4 before deciding.
Is the Venu 3 still worth the money?
The Venu 3 remains a capable all-purpose Garmin for buyers who want health and fitness tracking alongside smartwatch features. It has wrist-based heart rate, Body Battery, sleep coaching, HRV status, stress tracking, women’s health tracking and built-in activity profiles. Garmin also lists music storage, calls from the watch and texting when paired with a compatible smartphone.
Its value depends on the price you can actually pay. Android Central reported that Best Buy had both the 45 mm Venu 3 and 41 mm Venu 3S for $349.99, down from $449.99, on January 29, 2026. That is a historical promotion, not a live quote. Best Buy’s product page for the 45 mm model displayed $388.99—a stated $61 below a comparable value of $449.99—when accessed for this article. These prices can change; verify the current listing and checkout total. Android Central’s dated deal report and Best Buy’s product listing show why the live price matters more than an old headline.
Buy it if
- The current price is clearly below the Venu 4 and you do not need the newer model’s additions.
- You want Garmin’s established health and fitness functions with music storage and paired-phone calling and messaging.
- You have chosen the case size that fits you: the Venu 3 is 45 mm and the Venu 3S is 41 mm.
Consider the Venu 4 instead if
- You specifically want its built-in LED flashlight or metal design.
- You value its health-status, lifestyle-logging or sleep-alignment features enough to pay the price difference.
What the Venu 3 does well
Garmin announced the Venu 3 and Venu 3S on August 30, 2023. The series uses AMOLED touchscreens and includes wellness and training features such as sleep score, sleep-stage tracking, naps, Pulse Ox, HRV status and morning reports. Garmin also highlighted wheelchair push tracking and wheelchair-focused workouts, a practical accessibility feature rather than a cosmetic spec. Availability and behavior for some functions can depend on region, paired phone, software and settings. Garmin’s launch announcement describes the series and its features.

For everyday use, Garmin says the Venu 3 supports music storage and calls from the watch, plus texting when paired with a compatible smartphone. Those functions make it more than a workout tracker, though they do not remove the need for a compatible phone for the stated messaging features. Garmin’s comparison describes the Venu 3’s retained health and fitness tools alongside the Venu 4’s newer additions. Garmin’s Venu 3 and Venu 4 comparison provides the manufacturer’s feature breakdown.
Venu 3 versus Venu 4: what changes?
The clearest reason to pay more for the Venu 4 is its set of additions, not that the Venu 3 stops being a useful watch. Garmin identifies a metal design, built-in LED flashlight, health status, lifestyle logging and sleep alignment as Venu 4 features. The Venu 3 retains core health and fitness tracking, so the decision is whether those specific upgrades justify the extra cost for you.

Best Buy lists up to 14 days of battery life in smartwatch mode. “Up to” is a maximum claim, not a guarantee: actual runtime can vary with use and configuration. Treat it as a manufacturer/retailer-stated figure rather than a promise of how long every wearer’s watch will last. Best Buy’s listing also mentions Garmin’s ECG app, but ECG availability is limited by region and software and has eligibility restrictions. It is not a replacement for medical evaluation or a diagnostic guarantee.

The Venu 3 launched in 2023, so it is not Garmin’s newest Venu generation. That matters mainly if you want features introduced on the Venu 4 or expect to keep a watch for a long time and prefer the newest model. If the Venu 3’s existing tools are what you need, age alone is not a reason to rule it out.

How to make the decision at checkout
- Confirm the actual price. Check the retailer listing and final checkout total. Do not treat the January 29, 2026, $349.99 promotion as active without confirming it. TechRadar reported an Amazon price of $288 on September 9, 2026, but that is also a dated deal report, not proof of a current offer. TechRadar’s report records that past price.
- Choose the fit. The Venu 3 is 45 mm; the Venu 3S is 41 mm. Do not buy the larger model solely because its deal is better if the smaller case is the one you want.
- Check phone and regional requirements. Confirm that your phone supports the functions you plan to use, and that features such as ECG are available and you meet their eligibility requirements.
- Price the Venu 4 alongside it. If the price difference is small enough that the flashlight, design and newer health and sleep features matter more, the newer watch may be the better fit.
