A current James List (now JamesEdition) listing for the Porsche Design P’6910 Indicator could not be verified. The watch itself is real: Porsche Design identifies the Indicator as a 2004 milestone, and auction records document examples. If you find a live offer, treat its availability, price, condition and seller as unconfirmed until you verify them directly.
Is the P’6910 Indicator listed on James List?
No active listing was verified. A Pinterest pin repeats the wording “Porsche Design P’6910 Indicator Watch Available On James List,” but a pin is not proof of a current offer. Check JamesEdition directly for any live item page and contact the seller before treating the watch as available.
Porsche Design’s official timepiece history includes “2004 Indicator.” A 2009 Porsche/Christophorus article likewise says the chronograph was introduced in 2004. These records establish the model’s history, not present-day inventory.
What is the Porsche Design P’6910 Indicator?
The P’6910 is an automatic titanium chronograph distinguished by a mechanical digital display for elapsed hours and minutes. Rather than showing the chronograph count only with conventional hands, the mechanism displays those elapsed-time units digitally. Dorotheum identifies its example’s movement as Eterna calibre 6036 and describes a small seconds and power-reserve indicator alongside the digital counters.

The watch is notably large, but published measurements differ: CHRONEXT gives 49 mm, Christie’s reports 48 mm, and Dorotheum describes approximately 50 mm. Those figures come from different secondary and auction records; they should not be collapsed into a single definitive case measurement.
What makes it unusual—and what remains uncertain?
The design is mechanically ambitious. Porsche/Christophorus reported 800 individual parts and a launch-era price of EUR 110,000 in its 2009 article. Dorotheum says development took three years and each watch was assembled by one watchmaker over 40 days. These are historical descriptions, not current production or pricing information.

- Challenge Watch Prize Winner of the 2021 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève - The GPHG has long been acclaimed as the watchmaking industry's highest honor. It's an annual competition involving several hundreds of watches marketed during the year.
- The World on Your Wrist - Inspired by "Blue Marble" the first photograph of Earth as a whole taken from space in 1972. Micro-engraved the earth's terrain on the dial, showing natural elements such as land, mountains and oceans. Unique single pointer design, indicating the time in a way that simulates the rotation of the earth. Means to awaken people's awareness of protecting the earth's environment.
- Innovative Time Telling - When the hour hand rotates 30°, the minute hand rotates 390°. This innovative change in the gear ratio of the traditional movement means the watch can indicate both the hour and minute with a single pointer. This ingenious solution transforms the conventional way of time-telling.
- Fine Craftsmanship - Using titanium material which is 30% lighter and 40% harder than stainless steel. The sleek oval case design without lugs commands attention and is comfortable to wear. The tightly sealed crown ensures added protection against the elements and smooth winding. Fluoro-rubber strap, which is unaffected by temperatures and resistant to abrasions and corrosion. Unlike silicone strap, it stays clean and keeps dust particles away.
- 3ATM Water Resistant - Suitable for daily use. Splash/rain resistant. Not available for showering, bathing, swimming, snorkelling, diving, fishing, and water related works.
Scarcity is evident in the limited auction records, but the exact production total is unresolved. Christie’s reports two to four examples made per year and a total limit of 50 watches. Dorotheum’s 2019 record, however, describes a watch numbered 71. Without stronger documentation reconciling that discrepancy, neither a definitive production total nor the meaning of the numbering should be assumed.

Dorotheum recorded a 2019 sale result of EUR 24,050, including buyer charges and VAT, for its No. 71 example. Christie’s also records a separate past offering. These records provide historical context only; neither establishes a current asking price or market value. The EUR 110,000 figure in the 2009 Porsche/Christophorus article is likewise a launch-era price, not a present valuation.

How to assess a P’6910 if you find one for sale
- Confirm identity and numbering. Ask for clear photographs of the dial, case, caseback, movement, clasp and papers. Compare the reference and case or serial details with the documentation; do not infer a production total from a number alone.
- Review condition and service history. Request dated service records and details of any replacement or repaired parts. Have a qualified watch specialist assess the movement and unusual digital chronograph mechanism before purchase.
- Establish provenance and completeness. Ask what original papers, box, accessories and ownership records accompany the watch, and check that the details are consistent across the available records.
- Evaluate the offer independently. Compare documented sales, including the historical records from Dorotheum and Christie’s, while accounting for sale date, condition, completeness and buyer charges. A past result is not a current valuation.
- Verify the seller and transaction. Confirm that the live item page exists, ask the seller specific questions, and use a payment and inspection process appropriate for a high-value watch. The historical records do not certify a current seller.
