The case for value is less clear if you are judging it only by specifications: the price depends on market and date, and the fixed strap bars and team styling will not suit every buyer.
What the Alinghi FXD is—and which version the specifications describe
TUDOR’s Alinghi Red Bull Racing collaboration includes two watches: a 42 mm time-only model, reference 25707KN, and a 43 mm chronograph. The detail below focuses on the time-only watch unless noted; the two versions have different movements and functions. TUDOR says the brand and Alinghi Red Bull Racing began a long-term collaboration in 2022, and that the blue dial and red accents echo the team’s AC75 yacht styling. TUDOR’s edition page
What you get for the price
Carbon-composite case and dive-watch specification
The 42 mm time-only watch has a black matte carbon-composite case, a bidirectional 60-minute titanium bezel with a matte black carbon-composite insert, a blue matte dial and a flat sapphire crystal. TUDOR rates it to 200 m (660 ft) water resistance. That is the manufacturer’s rating; it does not mean every water activity is suitable for every wearer or circumstance. COSC-certified manufacture movement
The time-only version uses TUDOR’s automatic MT5602. The movement is COSC-certified, runs at 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz), has 25 jewels and is rated by TUDOR for approximately 70 hours of power reserve. TUDOR also states a −2/+4 seconds-per-day tolerance for the assembled watch. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

Fixed bars and a distinctive strap
“FXD” refers to the case’s fixed strap bars, as TUDOR explains. The edition uses a 22 mm, one-piece Team Blue jacquard-woven fabric strap with red details, a titanium D buckle and hook-and-loop closure. TUDOR names Julien Faure as the strap’s maker. Fixed bars are integral to the design, so this is not a conventional lug-and-spring-bar setup for swapping straps.
What the published prices do—and do not—tell you
TUDOR’s 2023 press material lists CHF 3,500 including Swiss VAT as the time-only model’s Swiss launch price. Separately, when checked on 2026-10-08, TUDOR’s Italian edition page displayed €4,060 for the 42 mm time-only watch and €5,550 for the 43 mm chronograph. These are different markets and dates; the Italian page figures may change. Neither figure establishes today’s price in another country, a resale value or what a particular retailer will charge.

For a buyer who values this exact design, the combination is persuasive: a light, technical case material, a certified movement with a long stated reserve, substantial water resistance and a collaboration-specific strap and dial. But the published specifications cannot settle whether the price is a bargain against alternatives. That judgment requires a current, same-market comparison that also considers fit, finishing, service costs and warranty provision—not just movement credentials and headline materials.
How the chronograph differs
The Alinghi chronograph is a separate 43 mm model, not simply the time-only watch with an added function. TUDOR specifies a carbon-composite case and MT5813 movement for it. The Italian edition page lists approximately 70 hours of reserve and a −2/+4 seconds-per-day tolerance for the fully assembled chronograph. Its displayed Italian price was €5,550 on 2026-10-08. Do not apply the time-only model’s movement, size or other specifications to the chronograph.

Who is most likely to see the value
- A good fit: someone who wants the Alinghi Red Bull Racing design, appreciates a carbon-composite case and values the time-only watch’s certified movement and water-resistance rating.
- A less convincing fit: someone who does not care about the collaboration styling, wants conventional strap changes, or is evaluating value mainly by price-to-specification ratios.
- Before buying: confirm the exact reference and version, check the current local price, and try the case and fixed-bar strap arrangement if possible.
There is not enough established information here to call the watch a limited edition or to make claims about production numbers, scarcity, resale performance, current US pricing or ownership costs. Those factors could matter to a buyer, but they should not be assumed in a value judgment.
