What Ceratanium means on this watch
IWC says Ceratanium is based on a special titanium alloy and that shaping and firing components in a furnace produces a matte black metallic surface. The company describes the result as combining titanium’s lightness with ceramic-like hardness and scratch resistance. Those are IWC’s material claims; the cited product and pressroom pages do not provide independent comparative tests or numerical measurements. IWC’s launch announcement identifies the case, crown and pushers as Ceratanium on this reference.
IWC’s material explainer says Ceratanium allows auxiliary parts such as crowns, push-buttons and buckles to be made in the same material, supporting a matte, all-black look without a coating. IWC’s US product page lists the IW388106 at US$14,300 excluding VAT. IWC Mexico separately lists MXN 276,000 and directs prospective buyers to contact an adviser about availability. These are distinct regional listings; prices, taxes and stock can change, and the peso figure should not be treated as a US price. Warranty registration and strap fit

IWC’s current product page says registration in My IWC care can add a complimentary six-year extension to the standard two-year International Limited Warranty, for up to eight years. The watch must be registered while the original two-year warranty remains active. Check the current terms and eligibility for the particular purchase with IWC. IWC product page.
Strap or bracelet
IWC lists a 20 mm strap width and says additional straps or bracelets can be purchased. Width alone does not confirm that a generic 20 mm strap will attach correctly to this case, and the available listing does not identify a verified third-party replacement. Confirm the specific accessory and installation with IWC or an authorised service provider.

The official sources establish the reference’s configuration, specifications, IWC’s description of Ceratanium, regional listed prices and the stated warranty-registration program.
