The case’s slide-and-swivel construction makes even a modest profile change a notable design adjustment. Benedictus reported that the case contains more than 50 components, almost 40 of them devoted to the swivelling mechanism, and is assembled by a specialized Jaeger-LeCoultre team. Why can less than a millimeter matter?
A thinner case can reduce how prominently a rectangular watch rises from the wrist, which may help it pass beneath a shirt cuff with less catching or bunching. How does it compare with the current steel listing?
Do not treat 7.56 mm as the thickness of every Reverso Tribute Small Seconds. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s current US listing for steel reference Q397843J specifies an 8.5 mm case. It is a different material and reference from the 2023 pink-gold watch.

For a comparison, first identify the exact reference and whether you want a Monoface or Duoface. Then compare material, thickness, dial, and strap or bracelet configuration. The 7.56 mm figure belongs to the pink-gold versions described in the cited reports; Q397843J is a steel model listed at 8.5 mm.
Strap fit is reference-specific. Jaeger-LeCoultre specifies a 20 mm quick-release strap for Q397843J. Delugs lists 20 mm straps for Q3978480 and describes its straps as using quick-release spring bars, but that does not guarantee compatibility across all Reverso references.
