Jaeger-LeCoultre’s fifth Collectibles capsule brings together eight vintage Reverso watches dating from 1931 to 1937. The selection focuses on early variations of the model, from a black-dial 1931 Reverso to two-tone cases, small-seconds designs and several women’s Reverso Dame watches. Jaeger-LeCoultre says each watch was authenticated and restored by its workshop; those are the manufacture’s descriptions of its own offering.
What is Jaeger-LeCoultre The Collectibles Capsule V?
Capsule V is a curated group of eight early Reverso watches from the first decade after the model’s 1931 debut. Jaeger-LeCoultre announced the release on February 5, 2026, describing the watches as examples of how the Reverso evolved across men’s and women’s models. The launch announcement is available on Jaeger-LeCoultre’s press site.
The Reverso’s origin story, as told by the manufacture, begins with a challenge from polo-playing military officers in British India: they wanted a watch that could withstand the sport. Its reversible case and Art Deco lines became defining features. Capsule V draws attention to how those early design choices appeared in watches with different cases, dials and signatures. How does Jaeger-LeCoultre say the watches were restored?
Jaeger-LeCoultre says the eight watches were fully authenticated and restored by its restoration workshop. The brand describes a team of ten master watchmakers who service movements, hand-rebuild components and source historical parts while seeking to preserve each watch’s original character and patina. This is the manufacture’s description of its process; it is not independent verification or a guarantee of future performance.
The brand’s broader Collectibles criteria include originality, condition, mechanical integrity, documented history, rarity and historical significance. These are seller-stated selection criteria, not an external certification standard.
What comes with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Collectibles watch?
Jaeger-LeCoultre says each Collectibles watch comes with an extract from its archives, a complimentary copy of The Collectibles book and a new handmade leather strap selected for the watch, except when the model has a metal bracelet. When available, the original box and papers and the original strap or bracelet are included as well. These are the brand’s stated inclusions; confirm the accompanying items for a specific watch with the seller.

The manufacture describes The Collectibles as a reference on vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, written by its heritage experts after two and a half years of research. It says the book draws on more than 160 archival documents and covers 44 calibres, over 100 references and 237 dials. These counts are the brand’s published descriptions, not independently audited figures. Jaeger-LeCoultre says the book is also available through its website and boutiques.

The launch announcement said the watches would be offered worldwide through Jaeger-LeCoultre’s website beginning February 5, 2026, and at its New York flagship during an exhibition scheduled for February 5–23, 2026, at 701 Madison Avenue.
