Josh Hart says he does not count on luck: “I don’t really believe in luck. I believe in making things happen.” In a Hypebeast interview about Armani Beauty’s I Will Eau de Parfum, the New York Knicks guard connects that outlook to putting in the work—and discusses how fragrance fits his seasonal style and game-day routine.
What does “I Will” mean to Josh Hart?
“The root of ‘I Will’ is about silencing the doubters,” Hart says. For him, the phrase is less about waiting for the right break than committing to the effort required to create an outcome.
“You put the work in, and you believe in your work, and when you do that is when you make things happen.” The interview links that campaign framing to Giorgio Armani’s story of building a fashion house; that is the campaign’s parallel, not evidence that Hart’s personal philosophy depends on the brand.
How Hart’s interest in fragrance grew
Hart recalls using Axe body spray in middle school, before taking a greater interest in fragrance in college. He also remembers his mother giving him a fragrance in a small cigar case and says her signature scent was Obsession.

His account describes an evolving interest, rather than a claim to lifelong expertise: fragrance became something he paid more attention to as he grew older.
What fragrances does Hart prefer in different seasons?
Hart says his choices change with the weather and his clothes. In summer, he leans toward lighter, refreshing, floral fragrances. In fall and winter, he prefers amber, vanilla, or oud-like scents.

He connects those richer notes to the clothing he wears during basketball season, including sweaters, slacks, Chelsea boots, loafers, peacoats, and jackets. That is Hart’s personal way of matching scent to season and style, not a rule that a particular fragrance family belongs in a particular season.
What is Armani Beauty I Will Eau de Parfum?
The interview presents Hart as an Armani Beauty ambassador for I Will Eau de Parfum. Its description of the launch scent calls it a fragrance with a “rich, dark vanilla trail.” That phrase is the article and campaign’s characterization; the interview does not supply an ingredient list, detailed product specifications, price, or independent wear test.

It is therefore possible to describe how the campaign positions the fragrance, but not to establish from this interview how it performs on different skin or whether it is currently available to buy.
How fragrance fits Hart’s game-day routine
Hart says he sprays fragrance before leaving home for games. He estimates the trip to Madison Square Garden at roughly an hour and may bring the fragrance along to apply a couple of sprays in the car before entering the tunnel.

He does not want to go onto the court smelling too strong. After the game, media duties, and a shower, he says he has a skincare and fragrance setup in his locker. These are his reported habits, not general advice about how much fragrance to wear or when to apply it.
