The Stripa Strap replaces a conventional buckle with a flexible double-loop textile closure: pull it through to tighten, then tuck the loop beneath your wrist. In a 2024 review, Robin Nooy reported wearing one on his Tudor Black Bay 79220N while swimming, hiking and cycling, and called it the most comfortable strap he had experienced. That is one reviewer’s account, not a controlled comfort or durability test. Current Stripa listings add the measurements, material specifications and purchase terms to check before ordering.
How does the Stripa Strap work?
In Nooy’s description, the strap is a continuous textile design rather than a conventional buckle-and-hole strap. A preformed section with a rigid core gives the wrist-facing structure, while an elastic textile length loops between the watch’s push pins. The side against the wrist has a comfort liner; the outward and folding surfaces are described as non-slip. How to put it on your wrist?
- Extend the strap to make room for your wrist.
- Put the watch on, then pull the elastic section through the loop to tighten the fit.
- Return the loop underneath your wrist to secure it.
The intended advantage is a closure without conventional buckle hardware. The available sources do not establish a controlled comparison of its comfort or security against other strap designs.
What did the reviewer report?
Robin Nooy’s review, published 20 September 2024, says he ordered a strap and wore it with a Tudor Black Bay 79220N while swimming, hiking and cycling. He wrote, “I can honestly say this is the most comfortable strap I have ever experienced!” This is his personal assessment and reported use, not a measured comfort result or a durability test. The review also says Stripa was founded in 2023 by Péter Bálint Sinka and Klaudia Tisza after development work.

How do I measure my watch strap size?
Stripa’s current Basic Black listing offers 20mm and 22mm widths and asks buyers to provide three measurements: strap lug width, watch lug-to-lug dimension and wrist circumference. Its stated wrist-size tolerance is approximately ±8mm. Use the store’s measuring instructions and confirm the selected product’s size flow before ordering; the listing’s tolerance is a vendor statement, not a guarantee of fit for every wrist or watch. - Lug width: Match the strap width to the distance between the watch’s lugs.
- Lug-to-lug: Measure the watch from the end of one lug to the end of the opposite lug, as requested by the store.
- Wrist circumference: Measure your wrist where you wear the watch and provide that value in the product sizing flow.
What are the current materials and specifications?
The current Basic Black product page describes a 12g polyester textile strap, washable and resistant to seawater and UV radiation, with materials certified under OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and 316L stainless steel spring bars. The Game ON! listing gives the same width options, weight and material, water and UV claims. These are manufacturer specifications; the available sources do not provide independent test results verifying the claims. What does the Stripa Strap cost, and what are the terms?
The current official Basic Black listing showed €100 when accessed in 2026, with shipping calculated at checkout and preparation stated as 5–10 business days. Price, availability, shipping and timing can vary by region and variant, so verify the selected listing and checkout. For context only, Nooy’s 2024 review described a black 22mm strap at €39 plus shipping and handling, including 22mm push pins, a travel pouch and measuring tape; that historical price is not a current offer.
The Game ON! listing states a one-year warranty covering strap integrity and manufacturing quality, a size guarantee and a 30-day return statement. These terms may vary by product or change. Check the terms shown on the exact product page and at checkout before purchasing.

What should you compare before choosing a strap?
Stripa’s double-loop design is one closure option, not a proven universal upgrade. When comparing it with another strap, assess the actual dimensions and purchase conditions rather than relying on broad comfort or durability claims.
- Fit and attachment: Confirm lug width, watch lug-to-lug length and wrist circumference against the seller’s sizing guidance.
- Closure and profile: Consider whether you want a buckle-free loop and how the strap sits around the wrist.
- Material and care: Check the listed textile, washing instructions and any water or UV claims, including whether they are manufacturer claims or independently tested.
- Weight and terms: Compare stated weight, current price, shipping, warranty and return conditions for the specific product and region.
The product pages and review do not provide a controlled head-to-head test against other strap designs, so they cannot establish that Stripa is more comfortable or durable than a particular alternative.
