The Linde Werdelin SpidoLite II Titanium Gold was a North America-only limited edition of 15 watches, announced for availability through authorized retailers in the region from July 2013. Despite the “Gold” name, its skeletonized case was titanium; rose gold appeared on the crown, while the dial used rose-gold-colored detailing. The original stated price was $12,900 USD.
What the “Titanium Gold” name means
The 2013 announcement used both “SpidoLite II Titanium Gold” and “SpidoLite II Titanium and Gold” in its wording. The more precise model name is Titanium Gold, and it describes mixed materials rather than a solid-gold case. Linde Werdelin characterized the skeletonized case and dial as inspired by racing-car weight-reduction technology.
- Case: entirely titanium, with hand-satin-finished facets and microbillé details.
- Crown: 18-karat rose gold.
- Dial: two skeletonized layers, including a lower Côtes de Genève layer carrying the Linde Werdelin logo and an upper rose-gold-colored layer.
- Display: luminous indexes, three hands, and a skeletonized black calendar wheel with enlarged numerals intended to improve date readability.
Movement and visible finishing
The watch uses the LW 04, caliber 2251, described in the launch release as custom-made by Concepto, an independent movement manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The movement can be seen from both the dial side and through the sapphire-crystal case back. The release also notes circular perlage, a Spido engraving, a black rotor with rose-gold brand lettering, and blued-steel screws.
The announcement positioned the watch as a tool for high-altitude sports. That is brand positioning; the release does not establish independent field testing or performance results.

How it differs from the later SpidoLite Gold
A separate 2015 report covers a later SpidoLite Gold and Titanium generation, not this 2013 North America edition. That report gives the later watch a 44 mm case, a 75-piece edition, the LW07 caliber, and a 42-hour power reserve. Those specifications should not be attributed to the 2013 Titanium Gold. The later-generation details are reported in Watch Collecting Lifestyle’s 2015 coverage.

Is the SpidoLite II Titanium Gold available now?
The historical announcement establishes where and when the watch was originally offered, but does not establish whether any example is currently for sale, whether a particular retailer has stock, or what the watch is worth today. A present-day purchase or valuation would require a current listing and verification of the specific watch’s condition and provenance.
