Time+Tide’s March 26, 2024, live report from a Melbourne Swatch boutique captured the queue and the white Snoopy MoonSwatch before sales opened. The watch was the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase Full Moon, model SO33W700: the first MoonSwatch with a moonphase, a white Bioceramic case and a Snoopy tie-in.
Inside the Melbourne launch
Jamie Weiss and colleagues from Time+Tide covered the launch in Melbourne, where the Australian time zone let them report ahead of other locations. They spoke with people waiting in line and saw the watch inside the boutique before sales began. The report includes live photographs and video from the event. See Time+Tide’s launch report.
Some people had reportedly been waiting since 08:00 the previous day. The people interviewed included experienced MoonSwatch collectors and first-time buyers. The report speculated that flippers might also be in line, but gave no count or breakdown of buyers’ motives; it does not establish how many people queued or how many intended to resell.
What was new about the Snoopy MoonSwatch?
A moonphase alongside the chronograph
The Full Moon added a moonphase display to the MoonSwatch chronograph. Swatch described the pairing as a first for the company: “For the first time in its history, Swatch has combined a moon phase with a chronograph.” Snoopy appears on the moonphase disc in the subdial at 2 o’clock. Swatch’s March 20, 2024 announcement introduced the model ahead of its March 26 launch.

UV-reactive comic detail
Swatch says the dial includes a hidden Snoopy-comic quote among crescent moons and stars that reacts to ultraviolet light. In his on-scene account, Weiss found the message small and difficult to read; he also noted that the strap did not have a hidden message. Those are his observations from seeing the watch, not a laboratory assessment.
The watch in the launch photos
The white Full Moon is officially named the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase Full Moon and carries model number SO33W700. Swatch describes it as a non-limited model with an all-white Bioceramic case, crown and pushers, a VELCRO strap, quartz movement, chronograph and moonphase function. The official US product page lists 3-bar water resistance and directs shoppers to selected Swatch stores. Full Moon and the later New Moon
The Melbourne launch report concerns the white Full Moon. Swatch later announced a separate black model, the Mission to the Moonphase New Moon, which followed the Full Moon launch on March 26, 2024. Both are described by Swatch as non-limited Moonphase models; the available comparison establishes their different colorways and moonphase presentations, not a difference in performance or value.
