What does 10-bar water resistance mean in practice?
Longines’s instruction manual equates a 10-bar marking with resistance to an overpressure of 10 bar (100 m) under the referenced ISO 22810 equivalence. That figure is not an unconditional guarantee for every water activity or circumstance. The manual cautions that gasket aging and impacts to the crown can affect water resistance.

- Before immersion, make sure the crown is pushed in or screwed down.
- Do not operate the crown or chronograph pushers underwater.
- Rinse the watch with fresh water after contact with seawater.
- Longines recommends an annual water-resistance check by an approved service centre.

What warranty does Longines state?
Under the terms in Longines’s manual, mechanical watches purchased from January 1, 2021 have a five-year international warranty. Straps and bracelets have a 24-month warranty against material or manufacturing defects. The warranty certificate must be properly completed by an official dealer, and the published warranty terms determine coverage.
